Omg you are a life saver! I have spent the last 3 days trying to find synthetic free bras and noticed only bralettes are available and struggled to find someone with a full bust to see if it would roll over the underband.
I love your product review videos, always so thorough and helpful!
Omg thank you so much. I do have a larger cups and i really want bralettes but didnt think that i could. Never found them with a strong enough elastic band. But they do exist. Thats great
For europeans: I love the Bras i own from Erlich Textil. Super comfy and pretty and sustainable!
I've heard great things about them!
My fave was the Wren bra from Lara intimates but theyâve since âimprovedâ the design to include slider straps. I like the wide comfort straps and the cross over style as I have a 34 D-DD cup. Mine are getting very tired so I only try to wear them with my v neck / wrap clothing as they donât show.
Most commercial bralettes are not for larger busts/cup but Iâve found some nursing bralettes (unfortunately not ethical) which are very similar to the Wren but without hooks.
Another I like is from a supermarket (again not ethical but I was really struggling) which is called a âlounge braââfor larger busts.
Thank you for assisting my never ending search for minimal bra/bralette for larger busted women! I love the longline style ones but theyâre so hard to find in a good coverage cup.
End up sticking to light unpack sports bra/crop tops in the mean time.
I will check out the boob designs nursing ones you recommended as I like the wide strap cross over style :) hopefully I can find a UK seller
Lara Intimates is amazing! I loved the old Wren style but haven't tried the updated one yet. I didn't include them in this review because since they do actual band and cup sizing I feel like they're more of a bra than a bralette?
Thank you for sharing your experiences! For bralettes that aren't as "basic" as some brands: I've had my eye on some bralettes from Comazo that seem to look nice. Living Crafts also seem to have some that I like the look of.
Thank you Erin this was super informative. I hate wearing bras with wires, just so uncomfortable so I always opt for Bralettes when I can. I'll be checking out these brands!
Sooo so so helpful to see this video from someone with a super similar bra size to me! Thank you so much! Bra shopping is so hard đ
Good video!đ€. All the bralettes were so nice!đ
I do like the keyhole style from Knickey as well; I re-sold my Free Label Becky bra because I found the arm hole too tight and irritating to my armpit. But I agree, it was great quality and a comfortable, compressive fit. I haven't heard of Savara Intimates, love the beautiful options!
I'm a similar size (30GG or 32G) and have struggled to find bralettes that worked for me, since I do wear a smaller band size. Some of those looked reasonably supportive and comfortable. I really appreciate this review and look forward to researching these styles. Thanks.
Also if you haven't already, check out Lara Intimates. They're amazing, especially for larger cups!
You are a similar size to me, and I've always been skeptical of S/M/L bralettes. Thank you for this review!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome! Thank you! I was looking at the Knickey bralette yesterday!
I think "k" is silent, evolved from British 'knickers'
đ€Š My husband also mentioned that while I was editing, such a silly mistake but I didn't want to re-film the video.
Oh I like the second one even more now that you said it's not tight enough. I have double scoliosis with cervical arthritis and an arthrodesis and I can't find anything that's isn't hurting my ribs, shoulders, neck and shoulder blades (built different lol and store employees at shops don't know what it is and say mean things all the time....)
Love seeing reviews from someone else with a small waist/large bust! Itâs so hard to find bras.
as a 32DDD this was so helpful! itâs challenging to find lounge bras that provide enough support
i love the savara bralette!! i love coco malou ethical lingerie as another more pretty/lacy option :)
I recently bought The Scoop from Knickey and was pleasantly surprised at how supportive AND comfortable it was. I'm a similar size, 32DD, and the Large fits great.
That's great!
That issue of having contrasting measurements in the cups and the under band is one I have as well. I havenât found a bralette that really works for me, also because I am small and XS are too tight in the bust and S is just too baggy. I found a sustainable brand in MX Iâd like to try in the future, they have regular sizing (including band and cup measurements). Thatâs a feature sustainable brands should take into consideration in the future
I definitely loved this review I found that I definitely prefer more support still looking for a ethical good tee shirt bra
I unfortunately haven't found any sustainable padded cups, however if you're looking for a good mix of comfort and support, a "bralette-hybrid" kind of bra than Lara Intimates is a good one to check out!
@@MyGreenCloset Iâll have to check it out cause I really donât want to support Victoria secert anymore
Its interesting to see that one person range from size S to XL. I really like the idea of wearing bralettes as a cropped topđâșïž. Great videođ€
Right?! It's so important to double check brands sizing and read all the info, they can vary so much!
I think another commenter mentioned this brand but I love love LOVE Lara Intimates! I have 3 bralettes from them now - a Wren, a Steph, and a limited edition which is a Steph or very close to it. I also have a non-standard size, I have a 46â chest snd generally wear a 36GG in Lara Intimates and most UK sizing, which is a 36J in the US.
I also like to wear bralettes for yoga and other lighter impact sports but prefer no hooks or metal for that if possible - I have one from Girlfriend Collective but I have the same issue where the band is a bit loose vs. the size needed for my actual bust. I have one from NinePine which actually works really well and I also have a random Prana purchase from my local yoga shop that was great once I took the cups out.
Lara Intimates is amazing! I loved the old Wren style but haven't tried the updated one yet. I didn't include them in this review though since they do actual band and cup sizing I feel like they're more of a bra than a bralette?
@@MyGreenCloset thatâs true, they do bill it more as unwired bras vs. bralettes, though the Steph and I think one other style are billed as bralettes and have band + S, M, L, etc. sizing to fit a range of cups. I got the 36 L in the Steph, for example. But you are right that the distinctions are so tricky!
@@MyGreenCloset I actually went to buy a bra from Lara Intimates a while back and their entire web presence seems to have disappeared overnight with no explanation. It's very strange, I could only find wild rumours online in the few places that took note at all.
@@juliaw9835 Yes, I have no idea what happened!
Great video! The keyhole bralette surprises me. It reminds me of the keyhole bralette from Organic Basics and it was SO FUNNY. Iâm a 34dd and somehow my boobs migrated down into the keyhole and it looked like a newborns booty sticking out of the front of my bra. Honestly the strangest thing Iâve ever seen. Lol. I canât bring myself to get that style again.
Thanks for this-very helpful to get reviews of sustainable undergarments. Is there a reason you didnât include anything from Organic Basics?
They only very recently expanded their sizing options. The bras they had before didn't fit me, but I am interested in trying their new sizing.
I have struggled with bras labelled as bralettes as the cups are never supportive enough. I'm a UK 36DD, although most are sized as S,M,L would you look to find the closest to the cup size or band size to get the best fit?
This video was just in time! Iâve been looking for other sustainable bralette options. Could you tell me which ones you wouldnât be concerned about showing nip in? I prefer the bralette style because itâs supposed to be healthier to not have wiring and such, and theyâre so comfortable, but I do still want an option I can wear with anything, say to the office if my top is a bit thinner fabric. It looked like the Knickey ones might be a good option? Itâs very hard to tell with bralettes when shopping.
Thanks so much!
It really depends, the Knickey ones are thicker but if you want no chance then you need some padding.
@@MyGreenCloset so far Boody is the only brand Iâve found that has bralettes with padding, but Iâm looking for other options too.
