Created by Portugal based design duo Credo quia Absurdum, this is the 3rd Edition of the Terra Volatile Tarot Deck and Expansion. Terra Volatile is an exploration of duality, Terra meaning Earth, a fixed element, and Volatile, an alchemical term meaning eternal change, something that cannot be firmly defined, and is always in transformation. By joining two opposite states of matter together (Fixed/Volatile), a balance is found between them.
First released in 2021, this indie tarot deck contains five Minor Arcana suits - Wands, Swords, Coins, Cups and Vessels (Aether, also called Quintessence). The suit of Vessels embodies awareness, transformation and rebirth, providing a deeper insight into exploration of the self.
A total of 154 cards are included within the Tarot and Expansion Set, including a 107 card main tarot deck (92 cards + 15 alternatives) and a 47 card Expansion. Build your own tarot deck or combine them all for a deeper reading! The following changes from the 1st edition include a revised 5 of Wands, revised Dream Card and the addition of the Last Judgement card.

I love this deck, I have a first edition, and ordered the book last year. Since I prefer riffle shuffling, and have arthritis, I love the cardstock - it is my favorite. I have found decks that are slippery tend to not be so bad after using them for awhile. I hope that happens for you so it is easier for you to work with. 😊 My favorite thing about this deck is it is truly customizable. Each person's deck will be different according to which cards they choose to use. I don't have any expansion packs, and have not used the extra suit yet, either.

This deck is truly exceptional. There is a deluxe/special edition coming out in September. I have the first edition and also bought one of their art prints. The team behind this deck is very talented! The artwork, although collage (I'm not too big a fan of collaged decks), is some of the best work I've ever seen.
I could not agree more with you… this is a superb deck and love working with it… I love that it has extra cards to replace and an extra suit… the book is just beautiful and super interesting… the only thing that does not really work for me is the paper stock, I find it very slippery and hard to work with other than that it is a perfect deck, thank you for watching and sharing….🙏

Hello There!! thnk you for watching and stopping by...I have to agree with you the deck is absolutely wonderful and I love working with it.... the images are so chatty and deep I am very attracted to them... The only thing that threw me off was the paper stock, does your edition have this linen slippery card stock?
