Yes, I am over the moon with this deck too 🖤 My final version has 145 cards. Not all, but few left out. 🙌 I also believe it has the best cardstock you can get: 330 GSM and black core. Just perfect in every way.
@@FutileGrief Proper card stock for Tarot & playing cards is a multi-layer product, with two sheets of paper sandwiching a core layer. The best cores are black, making the cardstock as opaque as possible, so as to prevent someone from seeing through the card to determine what's on the other side even when brightly backlit. Being "the best", black core cardstocks also generally have the best mechanical properties (snap-back/crease resistance, etc) for their paper weight.
It basically means, that each card itself is made out of three compartments. The face of the card, the back of the card and in the middle, the black core. It is a hard compartment that makes the card very durable but also flexible. It is common in play card games, because it makes the card completely opaque, so your opponent would not be able to see through your cards. And the gsm has to do with the weight of the paper: how dense it is.

YES! Makes total sense. I got the first version of the heavy deck and it instantly became my go to deck. It’s just perfect and you are right to be gushing about it. Can’t wait for the book.
Even though we know it's a high possibility of the box being damaged in transit, it still makes us frown when we open the package and see it. Every single time. LOL This is a very nice deck. Having the expansion pack option is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

This is by far and away my favourite deck to use as well. I have two copies now as I bought their seconds versions when they released them a few months ago and just reviewed this newest version and the expansion. It's sooo rich. My only issue is that I don't understand vessels and feel that it doesn't seem to follow a progression that makes sense to me. But then I am not an alchemist in the traditional sense. More in the metaphorical. I'm very happy that Alan Moore was honoured in this deck as he is the magician that triggered my awakening and I'll eternally be greatful to him for his creations and authenticity.
Finally, after some months, I got my hands on this deck. I am still very much in love with this deck. The art is just majestic, the colours are easy on the eyes and they feel so luxurious to hold. Haven't yet worked with them that much.
This deck is stunning and I love the fifth suit. For the most part I think I'd include all variations of the MA for nuance. Would love to see a borderless version but certainly thinking of purchasing this one day. A bit aspirational for me at the moment but I can dream 🥸
This deck looks perfect for what I'm looking for. I'm sort of a beginner at tarot, so I prefer to stick with RWS interpretations of the cards, hence the artwork, but I found the og lacking in artistic subtlety to fully express the ideas behind them in a way that translated in my brain. So I've been looking around for a deck that correlates closely with the RWS but in an art style that speaks to me, and wow I think I might have found it! Thank you Foolish Fish for bringing this deck to my attention!
This will absolutely do the trick! (Though I do recommend checking out some of the RWS decks that show the original colours, notably the Centennial Edition - you might be surprised to see how different it was from the over-saturated mess that became the standard over the course of the 20th century!)
Thats an incredibly beautiful deck, and while I'm not well versed in Tarot, it seems far more symbolically dense than most decks so I might just pick it up.
@@FoolishFishBooks I have a very beautiful deck by an artist named Amrit Brar but I don't imagine they have even a fraction of the symbolic depth that these have. I especially enjoyed the chaos card. There's a sense of foreboding inherent in the unknown that the fool seems too whimsical to capture imho.

Rebel are a Polish brand that are easy for me to source here in Poland, but any plastic sleeves will do! Just search for card sleeves Tarot (not 'french tarot', mind!) And you should get many hits 😊👍
I've seen some reviews for this deck, but each one comes in a different box, and in some of the reviews the cards appeared to be from a different card stock (not texturized). Are those different editions? I like your box the best, what should I be looking for if I want to find it for sale?
This is the second edition, the only edition that is compatible with the extension pack. I recommend waiting for the third edition at this point. Be aware that there are many fakes or there which are of terrible quality (especially those with "holographic edges" being sold on Ali Express and E-Bay). Buying from the source or from a reputable seller is the only way to be sure you'll get a genuine product.
My deck arrived yesterday by mail. Any recommendations on a nice tarot case to keep them in? With the expansion pack I want to keep the left overs in their original magnetic box. 😄
I've found a nice wooden chest with a key lock, just the right size. Bought mine on the market in Krakow, but they're easy to source online with a quick search. Tarot cards are 12cm x 7cm so you need the chest to be slightly bigger than that.
Google will be better placed to know that for your particular location than me, I live in Poland so I went to a site called Allegro and searched for 'card sleeves Tarot' and picked from over 100 options. I'm sure if you visited something like Amazon or just a straight Google search, you'd find one easily 😊
