Descaling a Keurig K Slim Coffee Maker With Vinegar

I show the steps to descale a Keurig K Slim Coffee Maker with vinegar. Fill a large mug with vinegar and pour it into the water reservoir, fill the mug with water for a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture. Brew the mixture until Add Water lights up, then fill the water reservoir with fresh water to rinse.

The key piece of information: turn off and hold the 8 & 12 button to put the machine into “descale mode” is missing from the back of the keurig descale solution I bought. Without that info, the descale light will never go off! So thank you for posting this wonderful and straight to the point video! 👏 👏 👏

I was a freelance writer and lots of companies reached out to me hoping I'd write about their products. Needless to say, it was like Christmas at my house every week as folks would send me all sorts of products to review.
I got several Keurings - including Keurig Kold which made frozen drinks (it was fabulous but they discontinued it!) I don't drink coffee but set up one of the machine - which is different from yours . From the get go, it has never made a coffee with 10 ounces! So I followed your instructions - which didn't match exactly with my machine. I hope this fixes whatever the issue was - kind of surprising it being a brand new machine.

my keurig has a charcoal filter that should be replaced. Nothing was mentioned of that. Do the newer models still use those filters

I thought it wasn’t working but I kept running water through it and it finally stopped. It took my unit more than 1 full water reservoir. That might be because I keep messing around with it though.
