  • FINALLY A CERAMIC TIRE COATING. Is it right for you? Today I look at a ceramic infused tire restoration product from Renew Protect. Renew Protect is a small company that specializes in coatings. They are a Made In The USA company. This tire coating penetrates and creates a coating on the surface that will last 3 months on a tire that is driven daily and up to a year on less driven cars. The BLAK tire coating not only restores faded black surfaces but also protects them from UV rays, dirt and contaminants. Its a very economical auto detailing product. It does require a little bit of skill to come out nice but can be applied by most people with minimal practice. It is great to restore faded black trim, Tires or any car part that needs to be revived to a deep black color. I enjoyed using the product and have a lot of plans for it. It finishes on the shiny side of the scale so you should expect that. This product is not slippery or oily at all making it ideal for areas that slipping is not desired. It is a true Tire, Plastic and trim restoration product. If you are inexperienced with pro grade detailing products you should practice using the product some before applying to your vehicle to ensure that you will get the results you are hoping for!!! If you made it this far thanks and consider subscribing to see more.

I've been using this product since 2018 (when I discovered it) on my tires. Awesome product and I get an easy 6-8 months of protection. Like Jeremy said in the video, prep is VERY IMPORTANT with this product. I put it on truck tires back in mid Dec and I believe I cleaned all 4 tires 5 times each. It's not fun cleaning 35" tall tires that many times but it's worth it in the end. The best applicator I have found to use is those Adam's foam blocks.

So glad you listen to our comments. I just knew you would love this/these products. I've done all my tires on everything I own. RV, riding lawn mower (it just sits in the backyard while the tires dry out and rot), truck, van, and daughter's car. Have a bottle of rubbing alcohol handy to remove if you get it on wheels. I also used their GLOZ, SATN (for whatever shine you like), and DASH, it's a 1-and-done for at least 1-year if you apply the Gloz or Satn on top of BLAK. If it's good on Bus and Semi tires, it's good on all other tires. Best part is, is after that foam the tires and pressure washer-rinse the tires and that's it; you're done. No more cleaning tires (I have better things to do). I did my tires over a year ago and they still look great, and I live in the desert in South Arizona. Tire rot is a huge issue here. Not now! Now just a soap and water clean and another coat of Glos or Satn and I'm good for another year. No big tire preps this time around. Prep is everything. Great video. Oh, the DASH is a 1-and done forever product for your dash, period.

Not many 'ceramics' out there are actually 'ceramics'. Many are simply glorified Armor All, 303 types.... poly siloxane! Looks like Cerakote is the real thing. Ceramics are great but not a restoration product. They can enhance 'existing color ' and protect. RENEW PROTECT combines OEM type restoration, multiple UV blocks, and ceramic seal.

Subbed from Kaneohe! 🤙Interested to see how long this lasts. I have an older Ford Explorer and the trim is fading bad. I did a spray paint coating on it before and it worked ok and lasted about a year before fading. Do you think this could be applied to a painted surface in general? The "Graphene " we all are seeing on the detailing market is just that, 'marketing'.... it's all BS 🤨. Most stuff out there are not true nano ceramics. Real ceramics are not cheap and the SiO2 ceramic, if real-deal, are multi-year strong. We go a bit further with it... our blends contain up to 18% titanium nano oxides with quartz.

Hmmm...since it's a coating I wonder if you could use a VRP or something similar as a booster? I realize that this product should keep you from having to do that level of tire cleaning at every maintenance wash...but as it ages, possibly a quick clean and then a tire dressing of your choice?
I'm probably out in left field with a hockey stick on this one...

An very important tip that can help to halve the entire process.
Instead of many washes for each tire. Rather rinse the tire and then apply degreaser and scrub the the tire. One wash with degreaser will be more powerful than several washes with soapy water. Degreaser will get it back to "factory new" type of cleanliness.

I've found a heat gun has the ability to warp plenty of trim on B & C pillars for example. Especially when they do something stupid like use piano black trim on the exterior.
