I was so worried about the pally from Ragnaros, because I've had some absolutely terrible m+ runs with them. But that RPing RP put the RP in RP (what?!). Loved that story, that guy is a hero!
See, here's the problem with DKP - it's a good idea on paper, but in practise you've really gotta pick your side as to who you wanna fuck up unlubed - Either veterans of the team or new players are gonna get shafted with a system like that.

I really feel for the dude at the end story. My "top tier" guild in my old server did something similar but used me for me dps to get to nzoth lock out on their alts then swapped back over to mains and kicked me to bring other officer alts. Oh the rage I felt for a week to get snubbed out of AOTC. Got it on my own two weeks later. People suck

This "Raid Swapping" story just happened to me 3 months ago on my SP. And our guild, STILL does not have Cutting Edge. I made the usual ready for raid standing at the zone in. No invite, I whisper, no response. I see a DBM notice, Carapace is engaged. I've been asked to sit before, I expect it of a progressing guild. Then I noticed a discord de-ranking from Raider to Member. I asked if I was missing something and was fed a long line that from the logs it looked like I don't know the fight mechanics of Carapace but no specifics would be given. I mean, it's not rocket surgery with all the DPS swap warnings, congo lines and targeting macro for portal). I was also told someone was supposed to talk to me weeks ago about what I needed to do despite the fact we use a google slide show displaying, by name, our placement and timed movements. Eventually no one would return a whisper. Week after week they still make little to no progress and keep swapping in new names. I was confident that with diligence we would have Cutting Edge already, because of the evidenced progression thus far. But it would seem a cozy group has gotten itchy. And what I thought were decent peeps, seem to be a bit cowardly and lack common decency in peer to peer communication. Ah well. Such is life.

DKP resets were one of the worst things about DKP.
Sure, you shouldn't get to hoard it like crazy - but honestly, if you want to encourage people to help with farm runs you should reward them a bit. Even a 90% reduction in DKP seems fine to me - you aren't massively ahead even if you were crushing everyone else, but you get dibs on one or two early items as reward for helping out for so long.

I got into a +12 mechagone at the end of BfA with my hc nya gear fury, i had no fucking clue what to do, only m+ that i had ever completed was a +9 freehold and that was when EP was the latest raid tier. The other 4 people never said anything, they probably just thought i was high as a motherfucker or shit at the game. Is US just inbelievably toxic, or is the author of the story absolutely garbage?

I have honestly never understood the issue people have with leveraging "boobs" in wow (when not in IRL groups). You get free shit for nothing and a definite answer to the ever-present question "Do I need a new guild?". Thats two wins whichever way it goes.
