    The concept of morning workouts helping you be ready for the day varies from person to person. I have never felt ready to “tackle the day” after a morning workout. The rest of my day is downhill. By noon I'm ready to go to bed. Mid-day is the sweet spot for me.

I might try evening in the future though at like say 7 o clock or something, get some food and a coffee And then go to work at 11. That would be less stress on the body I say.

    I used to train at 6 AM, and my squat and bench press eventually adjusted, but deadlift was a non-starter at that time of day. I ended up doing those on Saturday afternoons, which is the best (for me). You can sleep in a little, get in a light lunch so you have energy for training and then have an awesome Saturday night because you know you did something meaningful with your day off.

  • @taripsultan6641
    @taripsultan6641 Před 3 lety +2

    The one benefit they do not talk about is the fact that you will build a certain kind of stubbornness, the discipline to do things when you dont feel like it. In corona times i split my training up, some easy cardio, slow technical practice for boxing, yoga in the morning, and the hard core stuff in the afternoon. I have the feeling i developed a habit for all the parts of my life , work, paperwork etc. to get the annoying stuff done when i need to, not when i feel like it. So i think exercising/practicing in the morning also builds your character a little bit

  • @beetlejuice661
    @beetlejuice661 Před rokem

    I agree with consistency. If it's better or you have time to in the morning then do that. I work night shifts with no set time off. Sleep fluctuates and there's other things to do as a responsible adult so being consistent with morning or first thing when I wake up workouts is pretty hard. So I save it for after work.

  • @raygengamer8440
    @raygengamer8440 Před rokem

    I think it depends on your energy expenditure throughout the day. If you train at night before sleep but you got low energy because of running around all day. Maybe it's best to go at a different time.

  • @ruthlessfitness8143
    @ruthlessfitness8143 Před 3 lety +1

    I think this all depends on a person’s schedule…I work overnight ..so in theory I’m strongest in the morning after I get off at 6am ..I do notice that my workouts are a little better in the morning vs at like 6 7 in the afternoon before I have to go in but the downside is that after I’m done I feel so good and energized that it’s hard to go home and sleep ..so I find myself not being able to fall asleep until till like 3 or 4 in the afternoon so when I do have to get up and get ready for work I’m groggy..I still haven’t found a balance..

  • @mu9284

    I workout from 8 to 9 PM. I do IF ( intermittent fasting ) so I do fasted workouts ( take black coffee and 2 to 3 teaspoons of honey as pre workout ) , that way I can eat just after my workout which feels so good honestly.
    My eating window is from 9 pm to 1 am.
    And as we see in this video CONSISTENCY is the key.
    The best to workout is the time you feel the best you can workout , in my opinion.

    I workout in the morning, I have trouble with sleeping so I get up at around 05.00 before I start my day, if I leave it until the evening I am to stressed with work, tired after a long shift, and get to relaxed due to journey time getting home, I can’t workout during the day due to my job. I definitely feel better working out in the morning because I have always been a morning person historically, since 5/6yrs old I had to get up around 05.00am due to my family work life so through the years it became habit.

    Morning workouts are way less fun. Less pump, less strength. In the afternoon it actually feels good to workout. Maybe I’ll try eating before my morning workout like some fruit or honey and some salt

    Sooo.if your morning workout included some deadlift reppin at 405 or 20 rep squats with a total 35 set 2 hour session,you wont be doing podcasts or much of anything else that day ,besides eating and sleeping 4 hour naps in inthe morning and evening. If you are doing a circuit of abs and fluff n pump then,sure,you will be up for anything.

    Being a trainer, when people asked me what the best time to workout is the answer is simple: whatever time works best for you and you can make it to the gym. If you can make it at 6 am 5 days a week then there you go. Be consistent
