Our Predator 670cc powered mini dragster is back! We've made tweaks to the engine and driveline- we installed lighter weights on our Polaris 1000 clutch for more stall, played with the carburetor jetting, and we install new junior dragster front wheels to shed some weight. In all, this modified Predator 670cc v twin is running better than ever! The draw through turbocharged v twin design is still working for us while we wait on our custom fuel injection system. With more tuning, we can up our MPH to reach our goal of 6.70 ET at over 100 MPH!
Thanks for Watching!

If you guys switch to Fuel injection, the controller will monitor and adjust the fuel delivery to balance the EGT's of both cylinders. Plus to get max Hp...
Or just switch that junk motor out
They should take it to RobotCantina so he can do the conversion.
@nathenandrew hes a good fabricator but power and speed is not his thing.
I think they were gonna put a haltech ecu on it
@@aeroflopper Tell that to the "Turbocharged Intercooled Fuel-injected 670 CC BIG BLOCK" going into the Insight. Edit* I'm positive I messed that up, somebody with a better memory fix that please.
We were blown away by it's performance for the first run of the year!
i was thinking about this last week
Imagine how much better it would be if yall fuel injected it
I thought you guys had 1.8 million subs? Now I'm seeing 1.1m.
Add 3ozs of Marvel Mystery oil to the tank when you run the methanol. It will protect the valve guides in the motor and the slide valve in the carb plus pickup close to a point or so in compression.
what happened to the riding mower that the 670 was on i started watching when you where building that and you guys are the reason that I'm into go carts and mini bikes
Best sounding exhaust of all of your projects.
The dragster is my favourite vehicle in the fleet it’s why I subbed to the channel I can’t wait for you to run that 100mph in the 1/8th mile
I can’t wait to see what you do with the drag racer, but honestly I want to see you put a flat track tire on that minibike and a wheelie bar and see what Charles can really do
Charles the first person to ever go down a track with his tool belt still on🤣
Nope.. did that in '99
@@cliffhooper3558 You want a ribbon or something? do you feel left out?🤨👏
@@cliffhooper3558did u do it in a custom 1:1 drag rail tho? Didn’t think so hemidart7
DUAL CARBS. Equal fueling, ability to get the engine the fuel it needs since you have been lean all along and drilling jets and choking the air down to compensate
I really enjoy your show. The guys are out there. Having fun and doing the best you can and get good speeds. Keep up the good work. Great show
Yeah. Also much smaller carbs, so they can get more fuel and higher airspeed. Methanol requires 3 times as much fuel as petrol. 12:1 for petrol, and 4:1 for methanol. You also need different spark plugs when running methanol.
Dual carbs won’t help when they are both running through a single turbo. They would probably have more problems if they tried to go to a blow thru set up. They would be better off putting an EFI set up on it.
@adamr9215 of course they would, but that's a project for later. And you can dual carb. It's called a blow through. Not ideal to split the turbo output to two possibly leaky carbs but certainly doable. It's closed loop so pressure would be roughly equal. Heck twin turbo, crossover exhaust (turbo feeds opposite cylinder). That would be something interesting lol
@@ogrefreak5222 You aren’t that smart, are you? I mentioned blow through carbs, so don’t go acting like I didn’t. Also, to go twin turbo, they would need to find even smaller turbos to spool decent.
i’ve been a fan since 400k subs, and i’m really impressed with the transition from building ludicrous go karts to building these absolute beasts! you guys are incredible!
Absolutely no idea sub numbers, but somewhere around 2018!
@@fortyfukinsevenha same but my old acc got deleted
@@fortyfukinseven Was it pre-lawnmower flip?
Congrats all on an excellent effort all the way around. Also, congrats Charles on a spectacular first run on asphalt, GREAT photo…that’s a keeper! Good to see everyone having fun and able to do so safely. Keep up the great work and content, way to go boys!
Glad to see the rail back again, can't wait to see it run when you've got the fuelling sorted.
I think Charles should start his own channel. I'd totally watch it 🤟
I’ve raced 2.3l. Fords. Dirt track. The fuel would sling real bad. We put in sheet medal. Bent it to make each cylinder get the same amount of fuel. I do like this build. So sexy
one of my fav projects you guys are working on. that v twin thump, the horsepower, and the speed in a straight line... all from a mower engine! well done, can't wait to see the tuning buttoned up and the 6.70 et :)))
A steal screen inside the intake before the split in the cylinders will help with fule atomization
Old school hot rod trick, but makes a massive difference
So excited to see another vid on this beast. Idk why this project of all of your projects is the one that captivates me the most...
I just ordered my first t-shirt. It's the first time I've ever ordered youtube merch. Thanks for the years of fun videos. Next stop 2 million subs!
I nearly lost hope for a video of it again. Glad its back.
Great stuff nice to see both run together
Yes I’ve been wanting to see this back for a while 🎉
Great Job, need to change the air filter too restricted.
20:38 that thing moves out! Holy cow the drag rail has come a long way. Please keep improving on it. Love to see the progress. 💯🤘
I love that you guys are still building this, you should do ceramic bearings in the wheels and axles etc next, its hardcore enough for it
Love that rail!! I know you’re going to hit that perfect combo/setting. It’s got more to give!
Looking good guys. Always fun to watch. Be safe and have fun.
FINALLY! This is what the people have been waiting for. This is by far my favorite project
YESSS!!!! My favourite build is back
It just keeps getting better every time love it ❤
Yes!! Always look forward to watching you guys
I have loved this thing from the getgo. I wish it had a draw through supercharger and EFI. I bet Charles was in the 9's at around 70mph
This Old Man from Washington NC always enjoying your videos 👍. Love you Guys. 🛵🧔💝💝💝
I love watching the rail on the dragstrip keep that content coming and I will always watch and like guys. You guys are awesome
“It will be fine”. You guys crack me up!!
The green drag machine is legend. Running better than ever too, after a few bumps. Just gonna get better.
Congrats guys. Keep going on this project. Very fun to watch
Awesome boys it was great to see the dragger run again with sick times great job looking forward to the next vid 🥰🥰🥰
Great vid guys, I was hoping it would be on this rail, after seeing the teaser from last week.
I think the car is pretty well set up based on the ET vs MPH. I have been racing my bug in 1/8 mile for decades from as slow as 9s, up to 7.30s (NA) and as I said your ET/MPH is right on. ET is generally an indicator of chassis setup, MPH power. My best is 7.37 at 92, so I think your 6.70 to 100 is close. I think that will be a bit over 100 mph actually. It's fun to widdle away time like this!
I just can't get passed the rail sitting there and idling. It's so mesmerizing, it sounds amazing
My favorite of all your content....Thanks guys!!👍🙂
This is one of my favorite projects, I love seein this thing keep gettin better! Great job fellas 👊
I think a dual-carb or EFI setup would be the way to go from here to allow your rail to breathe better than ever. This has always been a great build over the years and it can still go a long way.
You can buy k&n filters with an internal velocity stack in various sizes.
When I ran motorcycle dirt track, they made a significant difference in midrange performance.
The dragster videos are the best videos you have. I love it.
You’re killing it guys! Awesome video
Super cool yins guys. Keep up the great work
Finally! Been waiting for this moment for what seems like forever! Keep up the good work bois
For the blow by issues causing oil to spew into the intake, you could try venting the dipstick. Drill a hole, thread in a 3/8 hose fitting (or whatever size you want) and run a fuel line up high somewhere. That'll help alleviate a lot of the pressure that is causing oil to be forced out the crankcase breather and into the intake..
Been watching since the beginning. I LOVE this! Awesome!
That rails awesome .Charles did good. John for designated drag race pilot
Been watching you for 7years omg time flys
EFI ON A MOTEC OR HOLLEY OR FUELTECH AND in mid to low 7's for sure! Possibly your 6:70 @ 100+! I WANNA SEE IT! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Great job guys. I like the idea of changing to blow through carb. The meth will cool the hot turbo air. And you will get better air/fuel distribution. You may wanna put an air fuel data logger or egt data logger. Yall are guessing whats wrong. You need data to make gains. Love the channel
Thanks for sharing your talents and adventures!!!
And the legend of Mr C. gets deeper all the time.
Oregon approves!
I remember you getting those front wheels at Pate!! They look good !!!
That switch probably shorted out when Ike saw sparks flying
I’d say get a stand alone wideband O2 sensor and data logger onto a SD card if nothing else. It will show you pretty good where ya need to adjust the fueling to on a pass.
Meth is tricky, very easy to run too lean and blow it up in an instant.
Hey guys, love what you have going here. Just some thought on your fuel distribution issues, having a largger intake manifold would help. The bigger the plenum volume (aka) "bucket" the cylinders can draw from would mix fuel better in your application and the cylinders will always have "literally" as much air as they will need. Boost (pressure) is importand AS WELL as the quantity avalible.
Exito a todos son los duros en el asunto .sigan dando el sabor que solo ustedes están abriendo el camino para muchas familias éxitos 7
OUTSTANDING!!! Have you considered having a car body back from the fire wall around the driver? You could add a cool paint job on it!
Wow that thing is getting fast... couple more tweaks and it will be very impressive for a v twin
im ready to see the new rail run boys.
You guys should sponsor a local kid that drives a jr dragster. Like build them a quality race engine for their class and they can rock you decals.
Have ya’ll thought about using a downdraft Webber with a split plenum intake? Might help with fuel delivery to each cylinder. Might be easier to set it up as a blow through instead of a pull through.
These track videos I can't get enough of.
Can't wait for the triumph to go up the strip ...mini bike drag series come on people you know it about to happen 😄
Sweeeet been looking forward to this for a while now awesome first run.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the best I ever that Hayabusa taking off and then Charles pulling up behind it with his mini bike I love it 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥💯
I have been watching you all for a while and I think you're working your way up a little bit at a time to top fuel drag racing
I'm waiting for the day I see a V8 cart. Maybe they'll start small with a V6 lol
They do small engines now...
Great to see the rail back !!!
Also the Jr dragster rack and pinion turn pretty sharp
Congrats to Charles and carsandcameras
I always love Ike's energy ❤
Amazing video guys.....great job Charles
Might try a flat steel divider right after the carb. Similar to the turbo carb hats they use. Helps divert fuel and air equally to both cyls and would be quick and easy to install. also boost is gonna pressurize the crank case. YOu don't want to plumb that back into the intake. Get a good catch can and you don't need to plumb it back to the intake.
Good luck!
These guys are so goofy but pro at the same time. I love it. I love you guys even if you are flammable lol.
If y’all would up the rpm’s at the line it would wheelie better and would definitely 60’ way better. Don’t leave the line with little to no rpm, especially with a turbo. If you can’t hold it still do dual brakes on the rear or raise the stall more.
If you run into a clutching dead end reach out to heel clicker clutching. When it comes to snowmobile / cvt transmission systems they are infinitely adjustable in multiple points of the shift curve.
Ahh nice to see it back again .
I'm sure not all will agree, I love these videos of crazy drag builds and what not. But I miss the old smaller realistic builds for the grand pre. The average fan can't custom fab, but we can buy a go kart and do all the bolt on mod fun like the older videos. Either way. Always a fan and will watch all the videos
I watched a guy balance fuel by mounting a fin under the carb inside the intake. With a few snips and bends and by checking exhaust temps he got it "good enuff til the next race".
Congrats on not being the ones who oiled the track down, but someone did.
recent subscriber and a big fan of the channel non sense , keep it up
When boosting small engines it is really beneficial to have some sort of intake plenum volume so you have equal fuel distribution and intake pressure for both cylinders
Only really necessary on a single cylinder motor
Sounds BAD ASS guys. Love it..
I think its still got more in it if ya don't blow it up !! And that minibike is insane. Nice runs Charles!!
"Totally wasn't us this time" 😆
Great video as usual, because the engine is mount sideways you guys should make a fan shroud so that it can get cool air from the front then it will help with cooling
Dang Charles that's some balls out run.
This is so addicting . If it doesn't scare you, it's not fast enough 😃👍🏻❤
Great runs guys!
Glad to see the rail is back 👍 oh when will you guys start working on the sand rail again?
23:17 That Mini Bike Is Madness 😂😂😂
I tried the mc carb thing on draw through VWs take it from me the best thing you can do is throw a Weber idf on there in a blow through configuration with a divided intake. I made zero carb mods to mine for boost. Easier to tune and your fuel robbing issues for the second cylinder will be completely cured. You may also be overpowering the needle and seat on that bike carb. When they say gravity feed only they mean it.
Love this build
great stuff guys thanks
Been waiting for this Dragster content
Great video guys awesome.
If you do get a 6.7x e.t., I would expect at least ~ 102 to 103 mph. Good luck - and I can't believe how good it sounds, it will sound even sweeter when you get it running right.
Love this rail bit reminds me of the wheelie yard kart
The rail is already legendary.
