that was my first thought too but actually I like it. yeah the story is kinda stupid and not that worked but for a mobile app, the graphics are not that bad and it's more about a cute wizarding world and characters than a complex harry potter story. So, not a "really good harry potter game" but it's not that bad. But I agree on the fact that we need a really good RPG !

The Devil's snare part is weird. If I recall the way out is to not struggle and your character could not struggle anymore so according to the lore you should've been let go.

The only redeemable moment I've experienced in this game is when I was learning Spongify in transfiguration and McGonagall was stuck in a T-Pose the entire time. Her head and hands were still doing their same animations but were completely disembodied and it was the funniest fucking shit

I'm actually kinda pissed to find out that Rowan changes gender depending on which gender you are. Like, come on, someone can be friends with the opposite gender. Them joining the same house you're in is also annoying, Rowan gives off a very Ravenclaw vibe, so having them in another house just feels off ._.
EDIT: Also students complaining about Hufflepuffs reputation being ruined is stupid, in Slytherin it at least made sense

This game is strangely odd and bland that it's irritating, it's a game where you click energy buttons to do things..then you wait..it's like its missing the main core of an RPG if it wants be one, you know, team management, battles, etc, aside from that it's what? cutscenes, fanservice and plot, that's it, it's not even properly an actual game.
most rpgs dont have team management battles? Most tend to be you playing your character (which you do with duels in the game).
This game is much more story based, and appeal to those who are okay with bland gameplay but love stories.

There's such a huge irony in the practically forced use of microtransactions in this game. One of the major messages of Harry Potter is how bad it is that kids from rich families (i.e. Malfoy's) get a headstart in life and get ahead of peers purely because of their money. Then they go and make this game where progress is based entirely on how much money you're willing to spend. Disgraceful really. Wonder how much J.K Rowling was involved in the direction of this game; presumably, she makes money from the microtransactions in this. Hypocrite.

I see your point there. Your energy bar does increase throughout the story (55 max), but the waiting times are still very annoying at times. At least its only 4 minutes for one point of energy instead of a half hour like some mobile games.

For example our character's brother could be responsible for killing one of Merula's family members, that would explain why she hates us

Merula's motivation makes total sense. She needs to prove she's the best to redeem herself and her family because her parents are in Azkaban. She doesn't want to be seen as useless or bad at magic. And she's a little bitch because she has a horrible home life with those two incarcerated and disgraced parents. The main character is a threat to her goal of being the best, so she creates an enemy out of them. Merula turns everything into a competition to prove her worth, even with her "friends."

I just wanna say I started playing the Hogwarts RP gmod server because of your videos, and it’s the best Harry Potter game I’ve EVER played. Albino Gorilla SBS is a better map and better spell system but the mods/admins and some of the prefects are lame. They take it all WAY too seriously. And RP Leadership (playing as Dumbledore, Voldemort, any of the teachers, etc) means nothing unless you're an admin that can actually make people follow your rules by kicking, banning, or gagging.
EternalCryer basically it's kind of about social standing and not the character you're playing in that server
Juliana Oliveira Christ yes. They've got their own specific clique there and if you're not a part of it then you won't be allowed to have any actual fun on the server. I don't know if you've met Melvin, but he's constantly mic spamming and doing shitty things that would have long gotten others banned. But he's friends with the staff so he doesn't get in the slightest bit of trouble.
Hell, I've seen people on there bonding and making a huge group that explores at Free Time but the staff always finds a way to break it up even if no school rules are being broken. SBS is very much a No Fun Zone, even their events are boring as shit.

300hp G5 imagine how good a Harry Potter mobile game could have been an RPG where you could explore hogwarts and duel with students, complete missions. But instead we got loads of micro transactions and constantly refilling energy to do things so disappointing
