Stardew Valley is a simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. Players take the role of a character who takes over their deceased grandfather's dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. The game is open-ended, allowing players to take on activities such as growing crops, raising livestock, fishing, cooking, mining and foraging, and socializing with the townspeople, including the ability to marry and have children.

There was, he just cut those parts out. If you actually watched the stream there was some really annoying parts but mainly from one or two people. One of which genuinely managed to get Kevin angry and frustrated when he's such a chill nice guy who's normally fine with memeing. I think it's the person you can see following him sometimes in this video. It was a shame considering the rest of the community was so damn nice. I could be thinking of the stream before this one trying out the concept

@@zero_s Yeah ik someone who was in a christian cult (obvs they didn't call it that, they called it a community/family) and people are drawn in by friends and loved ones or by the promise of companionship and other lovely things they say they have. In the one my friend was in it all looked like a lovely wholesome christian community on the surface, everyone had to help everyone, you would never be alone raising kids etc. But under the surface the stuff they drill into you and teach at the school all isnt true. Luckily my friend wasn't too deeply christian and was older and educated so realised and left, moved far far away. still traumatised though. shes trying to write a book about her experience though which is cool

Well he did start off doing the work with the cultists, but then after it picked up steam he did not need to do it, therefore he did not. He sees himself on the same level as them for he did the same work, he gave them the nutrition and they got the work done. The nutrition is what gets the body to work, he does clearly know best. And then there's the subconscious bonds formed by the 95% of the brain which is operated subconsciously forming bonds and understanding. Of course he can create one in a any game, when you're good enough at something people will obey.

His cult members are people in real life? I thought they were semi-intelligent npcs but no? *I stopped watching since I missed last episode of this series and want to see it 1st.
Now the beginning of this episode, and typing those commands in, it makes a whole lot more sense. I kept thinking "how can npcs be that smart to understand those commands like work till you die etc? Is this game _much_ better than I think it is??" It's been a long day.

Considering the CULT in the title, I'm surprised how wholesome this turned out to be, lol.
It really should be no surprise. After all, being wholesome comes as naturally to Kevin as forming cults. Both things clearly come hand in hand. The only surprise is that this particular cult wasnt living in his basement, but i guess an underground farm wouldnt have worked quite the same way.
I mean, aside from all the people passing out from exhaustion and being banished to the mines. :P

I find it even funnier to imagine the cult members as npc's that Kevin has driven so insane they've become sentient 😂
Fun fact about the giant melon you have a 1% chance of growing one when you put them in a 3x3 sized square! You can also do that with cauliflower’s and pumpkins!
just to add on, giant crops will grow from fully-grown normal crops -- as in, they must reach the full growth stage, and _then_ they have a 1% chance to become giant
I totally didn't find this out by looking on the wiki after spending hours trying to figure out why my pumpkins weren't giantifying

@@daksmyth9320 To add to that: I think only the middle one needs to be fully grown. The ones around it can still be seeds for all the melon cares. Some minmax runs and seedeed speedruns use it to their advantage :P

For this mod, the amount of beds don't matter it's the amount of houses. Evreyone can sleep in one bed if they want too. Keep the dear leader warm and sacerfice themselves when the cows come home.

that's amazing, kevin should definitely do more videos where he plays with his viewers. especially the games where you can make big servers, has great cult possibilities as proven here.

@@pedrovallefin8406 I mean if people can not only count but even show every clip of videos which feature Jim Pickens murdering someone, this probably wouldn't take too long. Few sims videos actually feature the cult, it would mostly be looking trough his RP videos to check if he made a cult at some point, and adding the Plague Inc one, this, and the Sims videos in which he uses the Get Together expansion (Otherwise it's not a cult, it's kidnapping) to make people work for him.
Kevin is so good at establishing cults that i am awaiting the day when he does so outside of the games, i got my picture of the Dear Leader already on my wall!

You have casually turned Stardew Valley into Amish community.
Imagine a movie about small village where farmer dies and leaves his farm to a grandson so it stars form a scene where villagers wait for their new townmate on a bus stop, the bus finally appears on the horizon, but wait... There is 3 more busses behind it. As they arrive the area gets flooded with people in robes with empty stare and one man comes to you with a slight grin reaches his hand and introduces himself: "Hi, I'm your new farmer Jim Pickens".
As the area gets deforested Jim's overgrown plot of land transforms into a town of its own and with many other problems the conflict between villagers and cult rises. And the movie becomes hardcore horror from this point.
