***** Jon Stewart was the best. John Oliver is the only one who even comes close to him. Trevor is nice though, hes good, I think Trevor might be able to fill Stewarts shoes after a few years of doing this.
There are obviously writers behind Trevor, and previously, behind Jon. I'm not sure how much the presenter contributed, and I'm not sure how much the presenter must follow the script. It's delusional to think either is a one-man-show.
I watched Trevor in his early days of comedy....he was brilliant....I admire the amount of research/culture adjustment/understanding he has had to go through to comprehend all the politics and nuances that he must face in his new country of residence.....great work.
I would still prefer to see him on a comedy stage.....doing his own stuff.

I personally support gun control, but there are a few valid arguments against proposed gun control laws. For instance, a full assault weapon ban would be just as effective against mass shootings as very strong background checks for people purchasing assault weapons. But hardliners that hate the idea of any gun control are either stupid or willfully ignorant.

So restoring democratic process is staging a sit in because you want to push through a bill that makes it illegal for a citizen to purchase a firearm simply because they were put on a list without due process? Remember that the Republicans had 2 gun control measures that democrats voted down the same day. Hey by the way, Rep Lewis who is in the video sitting on his ass was once on that very list. Kind of ironic isn't it.

The no-fly list is no different from the terrorist watch list. Both are comprised of names without due process. It is no different than locking people up just because you suspect they may commit a crime.
***** Much more selective? Like Doug Stuber who was put on the list because he was overheard telling another passenger that "George Bush is as dumb as a rock." Or maybe Abe Mashal, a Marine veteran, who placed on the list for reasons unknown and then contacted by FBI and told if he went undercover for them they could get him off the list. Or maybe the 53 nonviolent political activists that were classified as terrorist by the Maryland State Police and later during a hearing found that they were put on the list because of a surveillance operation that targeted opponents of the death penalty and the Iraq war. Or maybe the numerous children, many under the age of 5 who have generated false positives. And my original point is you are taking away a person's freedom because they are on a list. Due process is there so innocent people are not punished. Would you be ok with being told that you couldn't buy a firearm because your name was added to the list because you got a little loud on an airplane?
