when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. i have found some AMAZING books through these gifts and i’m all in for them. i have found more books to add to my TBR and i found some that are other booktubers favorites! that is why i bring you a huge birthday book haul / birthday book unboxing that quickly turned into a very chatty video about the books i got this month and me losing my mind over some of the new book releases coming this year. booktube has buzzed about some of these books… let’s see if i’ll enjoy them. i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with more books to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2021!

Love the Crucible… also I loved teaching it and my students loved reading it.
Assigned readings can be amazing… it all depends on how the teacher actually teaches it.

You mentioned you wanted to get into poetry. I’ve only started dipping my toe in poetry but I recommend Nikita Gill as a modern intro author. She has one book of poems based on Greek mythology (Great Goddesses: Life Lessons from Myths and Monsters) which I am in love with! She also has a book of poems based on fairytales (Fierce Fairytales: Poems and Stories to Stir Your Soul).
Note that I am a sucker for anything Greek mythology or fairytale related so my recommendation may not be for everyone.

I live in Panama and I'm a junior in high school,we had to read Cien años de Soledad this year but I just couldn't read it, but looking at that version makes me want to do it

I would suggest reading the history of how the crucible came about. It was written during the McCarthy era and meant to show the folky of blacklisting for socialism. It adds a depth to the story.
