The way Jack speaks is so intelligent without making others feel condescending.
We all stan Jack Edwards!
Making other people feel condescending would mean they would feel superior, the opposite of the point you're making. Yes, I understand the irony of this comment.

JACK'S FINALLY GONNA TELL US THINGS
OMG i wanna have an ex to describe in such warm and sweet words our relationship. Thank you for sharing!
As someone who is neurodivergent, you have my dream job. It sounds absolutely fantastic just consuming random facts the whole day
Right? I want that kind of job đ
I was thinking the same thing. I guess I'll look into jobs in publishing.
I was literally thinking it too

And now i regret not saying hi ahaha
Wat! Me! Little old me?! đđ”đŒ glad that shoutout means we get hangouts when I visit Paris next đâđŒ
Spoiler Alert: Jack may or may not be writing a book.
Jack, your words "I will always look back at that relationship as a really happy special thing" breaks a part of my heart.
the kids r good thx for asking jack
We really love Alex moving to Paris and thriving.
Whoever he isâŠ
I love his maturity and responses!
Jack is definitely a man written by a woman
Fr! Also, I'm ryujin biased so hiii
I love this description lol
Jack talking about his love for books is so beautiful, I can't even.
jack is writing another book-
*screams internally*
WOOHOOO
i hope alex has as a good time in paris (if they have moved there) as you seem to have
Find you a man who talks about his ex as positive & civil as Jack, such a green flag! Congrats on embarking a new journey! Your vibrant energy is inspiring đ
Since itâs a pandemic, Iâm assuming youâre mostly thinking of Living in different places in Europe, in which case I highly recommend Lisbon! As someone who has traveled a lot, it is definitely my favorite city in Europe. It is so incredibly beautiful, safe, so much history and different people, so much life and the most wonderful people, AND there is SO MUCH TO DO. Easily the most underrated city in Europe. I would maybe recommend it more towards spring because the areas around Lisbon in Portugal are just beautiful empty sand beaches and mountains and all which is probably nicer with warmer weather
As a Portuguese woman living in London, you just made me miss my city so damn much! đâ€
@@aportugueseknitter2338 Well We can go together, such an amazing place. I want to go back and see more of Portugal as well. IâM considering moving there, but I donât have a job Where I can work from a distanceđ©
I agree, but I live in Lisbon so I'm biased đ€
Just please make sure you move to Lisbon in a somewhat (I understand that it's hard) sustainable way. Rent is crazy and super not accessible to people here and it's very much (but not only) because of foreigners renting airbnbs and temporary rental places at huge prices.
If you're staying here for tourism please consider one of the amazing hostels/hotels we have in the city đ„°
ahh may I suggest Porto also? maybe I'm biased (because it's my home city) but it's a really beautiful place too
@@jessmoony Porto Ă© o melhor, nĂŁo hĂĄ comparação com Lisboa đ
the way that jack talks about his ex girlfriend is so sweet, wishing the best for them both
I find it so calming to just watch you answer random questions, like actually catching up to a friend you havenât seen in a while
How do you meet people and make friends in a new place? Thatâs the always the hardest part of moving somewhere new for me
i think the best way is probably attending local events(get brochures at the tourist info centre!), becoming a regular at a certain place(a cafe, pub etc) or going to places where you have a great chance of meeting lots of people(again, a cafe for example)!
and don't hesitate to talk to people, cause chances are they feel as awkward/scared/shy as you, as well! you can go from having a wide circle of acquaintances to having a smaller circle of friends
just give yourself some time to adjust, be patient, and everything will fall into place eventually :)
edit: advice from an introvert who tries to be more extroverted from time to time in order to survive hahahđ
I just tried staying in a hostel for a few days. The amount of people you meet there is insane!
@@michouvansluis4539 so happy for you!

@@humanitizen6570 I can imagine! Really cool that youâre going to do it anyway! At least youâll be surrounded by people who are interested in the same things you are. Are you going to stay in a dorm or something?
@@michouvansluis4539 heyy thank you!
Yes i think I'll be staying in a dorm. But im still not sure, might even be a PG. I still have 4-5 months to decide so lets see!
funny how you think by moving to paris, you'll get rid of the mouse like, have we not watched ratatouille? that's remy's gang's HQ.
"I'm never really truly alone because I always have you guys"đđđđđ I love you Jack.
I was actually quite concerned when I saw your last video (about adulting) and wanted to reach out but didn't know what to say but I'm glad you seem to be doing better. You do always have us and I personally support everything you need to do to feel better (even if it means less content đ) but just remember that you truly are never alone. Reach out to people you love when you're feeling under the weather people who have known you since you were a kid and have that kind of unconditional undying love for you no matter how long you stay apart (there's usually one or two people in a lifetime like that but you're lucky if you do have them!). Stay well Jackâ€ïž (or try your best staying well!)

Your optimism brings joy to my heart.
The WAY that Jack's eyes light up when he talks about how much he loves books đ€©đ€©
When the question about your favorite YT channel came I thought you'd say Jack in the Books, idk... he just seems like someone with the same vibe as you ... somehowđ
wow i really missed a trick here
You do seem good, Jack, and even as a more casual viewer I'm really happy about that! Pu-pu, you have a nice smile, keep it that way, man
People really do need to go out there and experience new stuff, this pandemic's been hard for everyone but maybe things are getting better. Thank you for making videos like this from time to time, book ones especially, too. Someone in the comments mentioned how you've re-sparked their joy for reading books again and you glow when you talk about that so I've also experienced that. :)
omg his little giggle that he does every now and then in between his words is so cute
Totally missed the q&a but in case you see this I'd love to know more about your job (no private details ofc). I'd love to do research for a living but as a history student I'm kind of lost when it comes to the publishing industry and have no idea where to start and what skills I need, what would make me stand out, what the day to day is like etc.
Love your Paris content so far and I appreciate how mindful and respectful you are of your private life online.
If you haven't seen, he's done a video called 'day in the life of a book research assistant'. I would be interested in more videos on how to get into that kind of job as well though!
@@redwineandagingerale thanks so much!! omw to watch that video :)
iâm so incredibly jealous but at the same time so incredibly happy for you jack!! live your best life like the absolute king you are đ€
I have been kinda in a slump mentally lately, with uni stuff and my insecurities towards my skills but at some point during your video i just had a moment of motivation burst from just listening to you and iâm gonna try to overcome it, thank you Jack!! iâll be waiting for more vlogs!!
Would love to see videos where you go into more detail on the publishing world, what roles are available and what a day in the life for a research assistant looks like for you!
I think the thing with books for me is that it encompasses so many different subjects, you can read books on history, politics, philosophy - absolutely anything and any culture. Im nowhere near a lit student, but i love reading and i think thats why books are so amazing.
I didn't know you moved!! That is so cool!! Also, loved bumping into you in Paris a few weeks ago!!! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Iâm excited. This channel is a gift that keeps on giving.

Iâm SO happy you watched Pose!!! Itâs fucking amazing, and the cast is honestly *chefâs kiss*.
Iâm also an Emma Chamberlain fan, have been since the days she still made videos at her parentâs house, so seeing the way she and her content have evolved over the years kinda warms my heart. That girl would be one talented filmmaker.
P.s. we love the beard and mustache
Stopped reading for 2 years because of uni workloads but your channel has made me rediscover and fall in love with reading again. So so excited to read your novel! x

This motivates me so much as a literature student!!! Glad you are having so much fun!!!
the way you spoke about your breakup, and the situation you both were in is so similar to mine. my heart is so warm seeing how maturely you have spoken and handled your break up. both of you are stars. i am wishing both of you the best
I just found your channel and now obsessed with you! Youâre amazing and Iâm excited to be part of your journey :)
You look so happy! Youâve always looked like an optimistic person, but specially now in this video. If you're interested in doing a masters outside the UK, you should absolutely look at the Netherlands, the masters degrees are much, much cheaper and cities like Amsterdam and Utrecht (basically a uni town) have big international communities.
