- Please join us for the second day of a multi-day series in a western ghost town which existed for just a short period of time in the 1870s. A bit quieter than the first day (Colleen's Groat) but just a beautiful spot to explore, detect and just enjoy being off the grid in the Aussie bush! Lot of great finds and bush adventures to follow on day 3 so please stay tuned.
Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Fossicking!

I'm really enjoying this series. Can't wait for part 3! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Warren and Colleen: What a beautiful peaceful spot out in the bush! Very enjoyable seeing the countryside, and that nice rain....let's find that gold sovereign and the old cemetery in the next video! Hope you can unearth some info on that old bull bell.....
Thank you for bringing us along, good stuff!
Couldn't have picked a greater campsite Warren. Beautiful quite spot to just kick back, relax, explore and move about your own pace. Beautiful scenery.
Thanks for another top shelf video….great to see the Garrett out finding some awesome finds….I love my apex 👍
Another pleasure to watch
Thank you both
Cheers Phil and Lesley
Good hunt Warren and Colleen I enjoyed your video and good luck to you two. good day to you.
What an interesting find! It's amazing how much history is still out there to discover. I'm excited to see what else you uncover on your journey!
Thanks Drewie! I’ll be watching from Missouri USA!
Gee you guys have interesting hunts! Made all the better by your research and knowledge of history. I believe the "James Barwom Birmingham " bells were made and imported for the Cobb & Co stagecoaches which makes sense. Keep the history coming.⛏
Thanks for your terrific videos, they really show the old Australia 🇦🇺
Another great video on our history the storing telling is top stuff
Good on you Warren
The Barrel tap could be off a rainwater tank. They were simple on-off devices as the lack of pressure was easy to block. The handle part could be removed to stop kids from leaving the tap on or anybody else for that matter. I have found the brass handle too at times. That cowbell made of bell metal sometimes has on them Good luck to the bullock teams or horse teams so they showed no bias in which was the best team to own.
I should think detecting and exploring a ghost town would be very cool! You found signs of life there, that's important. The bullock's bell was an interesting find!❤
I reckon the first item you found is a spindle drive out of a mortoise lock. It is used to retract the latch to open the door. The square spindle which would be attached to the inner and outer knobs would fit through it. I could be wrong but that"s my guess. Cheers:-)
Interesting spot. I've lived and worked in many areas of CQ and North, so these places always look familiar even if I haven't been to that particular spot.
Excellent video and hunt ! Congratulation for all ya`ll finds ! I really thought you and Colleen was going to find a gold coin. Good luck and best wishes on day 3 ! P S. You don`t get bragging rights every time out !
Really enjoyed seeing these two out there exploring and treasure hunting again. Their videos have a really nice relaxing tone with the birds and cool music and flying foxes are in the air!
Been rewatching a couple of you older videos of you ralic decting on old WWII training camps how do you go about getting permission to do so would love to do some relic hunting around Brisbane, Ipswich area hope you can steer me in the right direction cheers
Bell ringer--clapper
Warren, do crocs ever live in the bilabongs or is it too far inland?
Really miss your Landy, what happened to it?😢
New truck mate?
That mic cover is a bit of a pain. Mines just a compact foam cover, seems to work ok.
Thanks for watching - agree 100% on the Dead Cat - we have it attached to a Rode Video Micro and that was our first outing with it and we have since added a stand-off bracket so that it is no longer in shot. The wind out there is often very gusty so anything less than a Dead Cat and the audio becomes an issue. All the best and Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.
@@NQExplorers that sounds like it will be better, yes I think i know the Rode ones, there really flexible on their mounting, bit too flexible. Will keep an eye out for coming episodes
maybe if contacted some college or institution that has access to ground radar they could go out there one day and have a look too?? it be a good gesture anyway for mankind since he has the technology
👍🤠✌🇦🇺
