- This is our second sortie to a rural one-room schoolhouse that was established in the late 19th Century. We pick up a nice run of predecimals - it's another solo trip but we will definitely have Colleen in there on the next sortie (promise)! Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.

Well done. That halfpenny appeared to be dated 1939 roo. That is scarce. They were all released in Queensland. Queensland Government said that if families in an area donated an acre or two and built a school they would supply a teacher. Warren it was far easier for a young woman to get accommodation than a male. Therefore the government had to find it for the males. PS We never sold beer at fetes mate that sounds like something cockroaches would do.
