Since 1952, the Miss USA pageant has been conducted yearly to choose the American representative for the Miss Universe competition.
Mary Leona Gage was crowned Miss USA in 1957, but she was immediately disqualified and stripped of her title when it was revealed that she was married and had children. Later, Charlotte Sheffield succeeded Mary Leona Gage as Miss USA 1957 after Gage was dethroned.
The most successful state is Texas, with ten winners of the Miss USA title.
Miss USA 2023 will be the 72nd Miss USA pageant that will be held on September 29, 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Can't wait for it. 😍
