- After 16 years away Jimmy “The Hulk” Brantley is making his return to a Top Fuel Motorcycle built by the quickest and fastest motorcycle drag racer in the world Larry “Spiderman” McBride. In this video we will go behind the scenes at this Top Secret motorcycle drag racing test session as Brantley and the Top Fuel Motorcycle world record holder start up the bike, troubleshoot some motorcycle drag racing gone wrong and try to make good, clean straight runs on this nitro drag bike, while avoiding a Top Fuel Motorcycle crash or any other problem that may arise. Enjoy this behind the scenes look at Jimmy “The Hulk” Brantley going back to Top Fuel Motorcycle racing on a much improved, much quicker bike. We ride our Suzuki Hayabusa to Orlando Speed World Dragway to watch the whole thing unfold.

Such good news. Thanks for bringing us along Jack. I only found "Cycledrag" about(?) 8 months ago but I quickly felt part of a community of like minded people. Great video, thanks for making them, keeps the sport alive 👍 It brings back great memories of visiting Santa Pod in the 80s and 90s with my mates on our bikes as spectators. I'm glad drag racing still exists, it's prototypes at their very best! Good luck to Hulk!

+This might seem a little odd but I've got to come clean. There are 2 sports that make me cringe and get my emotions going. The amount of work and prep is off the charts. The potential for all that talent and work to all be waisted in an instance. Now the 2 sports. Couples figure skating ( I know just give a little thought ) and these nitro cycles. I'm not a follower of the skating but I do respect the dedication and work. Now when it comes to these bikes... It's beyond me how scary these things must be. Life on the edge and beauty in motion. Very fast motion. I am on the edge of my seat repeating serenity now !

With the remark of letting the bike get ahead of you, explain please.
Your trying to anticipate what the machine is going to do which You can only do by making runs and feeling what it does the same over and over and knowing it's coming, but each track and lane is different and just be ready for the possible and try to adjust to that track knowing the bike usually does "This at this point usually" even if it doesn't that run (Your ahead of the bike). Whereas if "It" didn't happen on a run and You think "it" won't happen BUT then "it" does on Your next run and You weren't ready, the bike is ahead of You because You got complacent. There are no two runs the same.

I own a Gen 2 ZX-10R and a Gen 3 Hayabusa. I enjoy the feeling of horsepower, but after watching this video, not enough to desire to ride something like that. 😅
