    social security benefits for seniors are an essential safety net for many, but it's also crucial to plan ahead and invest wisely for your retirement. Diversifying your investments across can help build wealth over time. It's never too early to start saving and investing for a comfortable retirement. I’m 63 and my husband 65 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income. ....

      @jennifergordon8134 Před 2 lety +5

      @@biffagump8B It doesn't cost anything out of pocket. Their fee comes out of your back pay from your disability back pay. The social security administration will only allow them to take a certain amount. They do not get paid unless you get your disability. I was turned down the 1st time we applied but Citizen's disability with my approval applied again right away. I went to their doctor ( my choice) and was approved the second time around. This was lucky for me many have to apply a 3rd time before approval. I am told almost everyone is turned down the 1st time. I didn't pay anymore for this. Citizen disability tells you up front how much you will pay. You never have to pay out of pocket it comes out of your lump sum. After this you receive monthly payments. You need to know how much you can make if you ever try to work part time. This way u will not loose your disability. Each person's monthly pay is different for their condition. Hope this helps.

    I'm a 100% Total and Permanent disabled veteran, didn't know about VA disability until a few years ago, recently approved at 100% - after an appeal; took about 10 years. In the interim from the onset of total disability, I had SSI with medicaid; but with enough work history to qualify for SSA retirement that I plan to start at age 62. My SSI specifies it is due to disability. Question, "do I have to apply for SSDI or is it automatic due to my SSI due to disability". Hope someone can help shine some light on this. The two programs have the same medical requirements for what makes a person disabled, so the major difference between them is the non-medical requirements.

To be eligible for SSDI, a person must have worked full time for at least 5 of the last 10 years at a job that paid Social Security taxes. Hello! There are two programs that people commonly think of as ‘Social Security Disability.’ They’re called Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The two programs have the same medical requirements for what makes a person disabled, so the major difference between them is the non-medical requirements.
      SSDI is based on the taxes you paid into Social Security while working. To be eligible for SSDI, a person must have worked full time for at least 5 of the last 10 years at a job that paid Social Security taxes. SSI is a need-based program, so anyone who is disabled can be eligible if they fall below a certain amount of assets.
      You will need to reach out to Social Security to see if you meet the non-medical qualifications.

Can they do this without it effecting either check & if not, then who's check would it effect? They just don't want to get into any trouble so its best to ask first.
