Nandikar's 35th National Theatre Festival : Sohini Sengupta ।। Rani Kadambini

“Empowered women empower women”
Nandikar’s play Rani Kadambini takes us back to an era where education for women was limited and shows how one woman stood against all odds to make her own way and create a path for the other women.
Born in the same year as Rabindranath Tagore, the first female gynecologist and medical practitioner is not as known as she should have. Director and lead Sohini Sengupta, portraying the life of Kadambini Ganguly, is extremely proud to give a theatrical ode to the much-deserved.
The play is scripted by our Ma’am, Swatilekha Sengupta, from Narayan Sanyal’s book Rani Kadambini.
Watch Deb Shankar Halder, Sohini Sengupta, and the young actors of Nandikar perform this play on 16th December at 6 pm.
