Been trying to get it to a state where I can emulate it and it got stuck on 6.60, no other video was able to emulate it without it giving me black screen of death every time. You made it simple and showed ACTUALLY every single step you took to get it there. Thanks again.

Thanks bro this really helped, hard to find an updated tutorial since Sony stopped supporting the update on their website. Only thing I think would be helpful is going more in depth on how to download WinRar and which WinRar to download if you don't already have it, that's the only part I was confused with for a bit. can u explain how you did it please? everytime i put the update folder in the games folder my psp doesnt recognize the memory stick & cant open the memory stick in games

I will add what at least for me was a important thing to mention. The PSP memory card I have is a 32mb. This update file itself is around 32mb and I kept getting a message that I did not have enough space. I deleted everything I could and still was 336mb short. Luckily I have some 1gb Duo sticks that must have come out of other PSPs I have had over time(they were not labeled with the PSP logo like my 32mb one) because when I connected the USB cable, a PSP folder was on it. I used one of those for the process. So be aware that a 32mb stick will probably not work for you.

I found my psp in its case in storage with all the games still in their cases. Last i played it the games and everything were working but that was years ago. I just decided to pick it back up but its not playing anything even though I updated the firmware to 6.61

Can confirm this is a very simple process and well explained from the video. However if you DO NOT have the folder GAME showing on your PSP folder, you can simply make a Game folder for the PSP and still drag the update into it without issues.
