    I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-ninety-second day of the war.
    Day 792: Apr 25
    Today, there are a lot of developments in the Kurakhove direction.
    In the last few days, there have been a series of attacks and counterattacks around Krasnohorivka, which have increased in intensity and signaled Russian forces' high priority to establish control of this town as a preliminary step to launching an attack on Kurakhove.
    After the fall of Marinka, Krasnohorivka became the next logical step due to its high tactical value for the Russians. Taking the town would allow them to push forward into the fields, compromising the supply to the Ukrainian fortress settlements further along the line behind Marinka and providing fire control into the Ukrainian flanks. This way, the Russians would gain a significant advantage by attacking the Ukrainians also from the flanks.
    Russian attacks over Krasnohorivka, which have been ongoing for weeks, are conducted on two main vectors: from the south towards the residential district and from the east, through the farms and field lands. The Russians faced heavy resistance in both vectors because these areas had already been heavily fortified since the initial conflict in 2014. As a result, Russian assaults on the city's southern district and from the east through the farms and countryside areas ultimately failed in their first attempt because Russian forces could not consolidate their positions, forcing them to retreat.
    However, it took only a short time for Russian forces to regroup and begin preparations for the next assault. These efforts included significant artillery preparation. Among other objectives, geolocated footage confirmed the destruction of Ukrainian electronic warfare equipment, which was in the process of being deployed.
    Shortly after that, the Russians finally launched their next wave, attacking from both the east and south vectors. In this last vector, the mechanized assault was remarkable in size, consisting of about two platoons.
    The geolocated footage shows a first advance with six armored vehicles, which got under heavy artillery fire already on the approach. Ukrainians made extensive use of cluster munition, and the mechanized attack was finally repelled with the help of FPV drones. What happened next has been the subject of worldwide attention: the Russians led the next mechanized wave with a wholly welded metal plates-covered tank intended as protection against FPV drones. In addition, a strong electronic warfare device was placed at the upper part in order to undermine FPV attacks. This interesting assembly, nicknamed “turtle tank”, was, in fact, able to advance through the southern district and return to its base without being destroyed.
    This event prompted remarks from several Ukrainian military analysts for two reasons. Firstly, no FPV drone attacks over the turtle tank were reported, so electronic warfare devices on board proved to be effective. Secondly, the fact that ATGM units did not attack the tank either, and only artillery fire were reported, indicates a worrying material shortage in this front area.
    As for the turtle tank, after countless comments on social media, Russian forces finally published a more detailed video where they illustrated the development process of the turtle tank, showing further details. Unfortunately for the Russians, this footage got geolocated by Ukrainian forces, and shortly after that, the turtle tank base was hit and destroyed by a Ukrainian HIMARS attack.
    Up next, it was the turn of the Ukrainians.
    Geolocated images show Ukrainian forces' counterattack in the same areas of the earlier Russian attack, indicating that Ukrainian troops regained their positions following the initial Russian mechanized assault. The videos show a number of shell and FPV drone attacks over a building in the eastern part of the city. This building was one of the main Russian positions in the area. In the end, the upper floor of the building started to burn, and some parts even began to collapse.
    The Russians found it difficult to accept this setback, and as if the scale of the last attack was not big enough, Russian forces doubled down on their effort and increased the scale of their next offensive to a massive level.
    Firstly, Russian forces relaunched the turtle tank concept with new iterations, with the same tactical idea of leading several waves of mechanized attacks.
    A Ukrainian officer stated that Russian forces conducted mechanized assaults near Krasnohorivka using dozens of armored vehicles...

      Ukraine should be provided with an enough fighter aircraft to form airforce, such as F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, including ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range versions should be sent to them}),, and the russian military facilities inside of russian territory should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans understand that not only is aiding Ukraine the morally right thing to do, it is the practical thing to do also. America has spent something like approximately 6% of our military budget so far to aid Ukraine. However, more than half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated, making Europe a much more peaceful and stable place for decades - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region. That is why billions of dollars spent today to aid Ukraine saves trillions of dollars tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this fact. Americans also want Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support providing military aid to Ukraine.
      Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are an American citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and promptly. The sooner America provides Ukraine the weapons it requires to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be done, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also conduct a google search for ones' elected representatives - many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

      2:13 I honestly think it’s kinda clever and cute. Obviously sloppily added on here, but it works, AND it’s giving me some ideas for further modifications and features…
      ⚪️The cover could be made of better armor, and be fitted to allow for tanks to have additional transport capacity in the hollow shell itself. The crew would have firing ports that could open and close, allowing them to help ward off drones and on-foot targets, while also partially compensating for the tanks main gun being made nigh-useless.
      ⚪️A modification where the tank can shed and/or reapply the shell mid-battle. The discarded shell could further be fine-tuned with similar adjustments to my first point, and could allow for infantry to use the shell as an improvised hardened position.

    Russian forces are leveraging their air assets as much as possible before F-16s and air defense arrives. FAB-1500 bombs are too heavy to be used as a long range glide bomb, and helicopters will be devastated by F-16s. Russia mass produced FAB-1500s in the anticipation that Ukraine wouldn't have air defense until November of this Year, so they're gunna be saturating the frontlines as much as possible with them.

    • @jean-michelvanpruyssen936
      @jean-michelvanpruyssen936 Před 20 dny

      Don't expect too much from the F-16s, unfortunately there will be very few of them. The escalation management by the Biden administration has been a failure, too little too late.
      At the end Ukraine will prevail, not on the battlefield but because the russian federation is collapsing and nobody can do anything about it.

    • @yellowtunes2756
      @yellowtunes2756 Před 20 dny +3

      Do you realise that few dozen of 50yo planes won't help Ukraine intercept Russian planes in any way, considering that Ukraine already had a few hundreds of 50yo planes when war started? And if f16 will try to intercept Russian planes - Russia will try to intercept them too

    • @DawudSandstorm2
      @DawudSandstorm2 Před 20 dny +19

      @@yellowtunes2756 Ukraine had >100 40-50 year old planes, and that was enough to deny Russian air superiority for 2 years without modernization. F-16s were not only superior when they were contemporary, but have since been modernized and will likely at the very least match, if not outperform ''modern'' Russian fighters. But that isn't really the point of them. The point is to intercept attack helicopters and prevent what happened during last Summer's offensive. It's also for exploitation, if Ukraine is able to continue attrition of Russian air defense, either by striking Crimea or forcing wide distribution or air defense by attacking oil facilities, they can gain local air superiority that would make offensive actions far more potent.
      It's the role of air defense systems like Patriot and NASAMs to intercept the planes that would carry FAB bombs since they have to fly at high altitudes to let them glide.
      Also I know there's like an 80% chance you're paid to make this comment. You're a Russian with an account made in 2014 parroting the claims of 'hundred of destroyed Ukrainian planes' that's put out by the Kremlin. I just respect an OG since you've been doing it so long, and picked up technique to make it more believable.

      @@DawudSandstorm2 planes had nothing to do with air superiority in this war. You just can't fly over enemy land against modern anti air systems.
      F16 are slower than soviet MIGs. How were they superior exactly? And I'm what metric do they match modern Russian planes?
      "Their point is to intercept" - yeah, Russia can intercept enemy planes too. Both sides try to stay away from the frontline to avoid getting shot down by enemy air defence systems and planes
      Russia has more c300 systems alone than Ukraine has air defence systems in general. Ukraine can't get air superiority anywhere, just like Russia. And it will remain the same until one sides will be willing to lose thousands of planes like USA did in Vietnam
      Well, apparently nasams and patriots can't intercept Russian planes at range of fab usage. Otherwise they would have done it already
      Well, Ukraine had a few hundred planes and they're barely doing anything with their air force. Therefore they're mostly destroyed

Neither the missiles or F-16’s will win the war on their own, and they may not even shift the initiative. I still believe Ukraine can win, but they’ll have to dig deep and it won’t be a laughing matter.

    The TT isn't a terrible idea and I am curious to see how well it can do it's job, though I'm not happy to see that it's the Ruskis that made it. I can see why they only have one in a unit, since it's effectively a support tank with a horrendously limited firing arc and FOV. I assume they're using cameras to see around them, but a hit to those would leave them nearly blind.
    I could see the concept being developed further to have a specialty cannon that trades out mobility for larger munitions along with some side-mounted mini turrets for defense, slots with retractable plates l covers to let stuff out, and protected camera ports around the outside, then form up around it so it's ECM can cover the whole unit while leaving it's front available to fire forward.
    Basically it could be a modern equivalent to the battering ram.
