I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-eightieth day of the war.
    Day 780: Apr 13
Today, there are a lot of updates from the Liman direction.
Here, Russian forces turned the axis of attack towards Terny into one of the hottest areas in this direction. In recent days, more information has become available, allowing us to draw a clearer picture of the developments in this area over the last weeks. Terny is one of the key settlements in the area that would allow the Russian forces to cross the Zherebets River in their attempt to advance on the strategically important city of Liman.
Yesterday, an open-source geolocation organization reported that geolocated footage and satellite imagery indicate that Russian forces lost - presumably both disabled and destroyed - between 102 and 107 armored vehicles in the last four months in the vicinity of Terny alone. The estimates include twenty-six vehicles in January, twenty-four in February, and thirty-six in March.
Recently published videos show a vast vehicle cemetery where dozens of wrecks of all kinds of vehicles, trucks, tanks, and armored infantry vehicles pile up.
The Russian armored vehicles' wreck map distribution suggests that Russian forces attempted mechanized advances along two parallel axes, making use of existing roads between two groves to unload infantry onto these tree lines where they could entrench and establish points of attack on the Ukrainian forces inside Terny.
The clear increase in the number and size of attacks indicates that Russian forces have strongly prioritized this direction and this particular attack vector since the beginning of the year. However, the reiteration of vectors and tactics has led to this high loss figure. Apart from the primitive and repetitive tactics, there is a whole set of reasons for the Russian failure.
Firstly, in order to assault Terny, Russians were forced to use overstretched supply lines, which made it easier for the Ukrainians to undermine the logistics in the area. Secondly, the Russians were forced to advance through open fields with very few cover areas, which, combined with the superior Ukrainian reconnaissance capabilities, made it possible to detect Russian assaults at a very early stage. Thirdly, as we recently discussed, Russian forces did not demonstrate enough improvements in EW capability, and their most prominent attempts led to complete catastrophes. And finally, the fact that the Russians had to advance along very narrow lines, particularly in its final approach, made it easier for the Ukrainians to concentrate drone fire.
The Russian collapse at Terny basically means the end of the winter-spring offensive in this region since spring rains are imminent and will start very soon. The muddy terrain will make mechanized maneuver warfare completely impossible.
Moreover, the Russian offensive not only collapsed, but recently geolocated footage indicates that Ukrainian forces took the initiative and started a powerful counterattack along both dense tree belts, demolishing the degraded and exhausted remnants of the Russian forces.
The counterattack was also supported by a Ukrainian flank attack from the hills north of the Russian positions in the forest lines, which ended up retreating several kilometers back to the east. Geolocated images show the intensive use of drones in several areas and tree lines near Terny. Another grove area located about six kilometers from the town was heavily targeted by Ukrainian artillery fire, which gives us an idea of how far the Russians were forced to retreat. Although Russian forces tried to take advantage of Ukrainian material shortages, their efforts were eventually in vain.
To make matters worse for the Russians, Russian forces seemed to adopt very risky tactics for their infantry assaults, which led to extremely high losses in personnel as well. Recently released images show a tank carrying a group of 24 infantrymen on its deck. The idea behind this tactic is, on the one hand, to be able to advance through more complicated terrain and to be able to carry out a swift infantry landing. However, even Russian military analysts openly criticized the use of this tactic due to the obvious exposure of the soldiers to Ukrainian drone fire. Interestingly, another Russian military analyst, however, stated that this tactic is more related to the shortage of armored infantry vehicles in some areas of the front line due to the high number of losses inflicted...

Ukraine should be supplied with an airforce-worth of fighter aircraft, such as the F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, such as ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range variants should be provided}), and the russian military facilities inside of russia should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans can see that not only is aiding Ukraine the ethical thing to do, it is the practical thing as well.. America has spent only approximately 6% of our military budget so far to help Ukraine. However, over half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition to this, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated, making Europe a more peaceful, stable place for many generations - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region,. That is why billions spent today saves trillions tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this. Americans also want to see Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support giving military aid to Ukraine.
Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are a US citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and soon. The sooner we give Ukraine the weapons it needs to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be over, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also google for ones' elected representatives -+- many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

I am the owner of a small drone shop located in Australia. Our shop specializes in custom-made drones and repairs. Since April 2022, I have been sending out custom-made drones using spare parts that we have in the shop. So far, we have sent out a total of 40 drones, which are specifically designed for reconnaissance and some with light to medium load capabilities. We leave it up to the drone operators to decide how to use them, but we are proud that the drones we have provided could have helped in saving the lives of brave men and women in Ukraine defending their land from Russia, Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦.

I'm a retired American ex-pat living in the Netherlands, andI am absolutely appalled and disgusted that a comparative handful of MAGA Republicans is holding up much-needed aid to Ukraine. If Speaker of the House Mike Johnson would bring the bill to the floor that has already been passed by the Senate, it would also pass by both a majority of Republicans as well as Democrats. But Johnson answers to Putin's dog, Donald Trump. They're praising Mike Johnson right now on Kremlin-controlled RT television.

This isn't just a phenomenon around Terny, it's also across most the front line. Russians have run through their active pre-war stockpiles, and are only able to produce or refurbish 100 tanks and 200 AFVs per month. Counting both damaged and destroyed, the Russians lost 280 tanks and 500 AFVs last month. Unless they stop offensive actions and allow their army to reconstute, not only is it unlikely that they will be able to accumulate enough resources for a decisive push, they may soon lose the capability to push forward at all.

From the start of the war until early April 2024, and using Oryx as a source, I estimated the monetary loss of Russian tanks destroyed alone was near $3.2 billion. That's a calculated guess. It doesn't take into account attached kit, fuel, ammunition, crew and other equipment lost with said tanks. So the loss could be over $4 billion. There are also around 300 unidentified Russian tanks that have also been destroyed that have not been calculated yet.

These represent some serious hits for a nation whose entire military budget before the start of the war was only about $34 billion. The only reason why the RF hasn't buckled already under the strain is that it started the war in an enviable financial situation, the product of having run budget surpluses from 2000 to 2016 while the US was over-spending on everything.

With the failed Kyiv offensive the leadership was not changed and the people's disdain for moscow has only grown, meaning they are more anti-moscow than before

Not only has Finland officially joined, Sweden has been approved as well which means the NATO/russia border literally doubled in length and the Baltic Sea is not a NATO lake. They also forced Ukraine into NATO's arms meaning the people are absolutely not going to stop trying to join NATO as they know it is the only way to prevent russian invasion.

With the "annexation" the LRP/DPR are now completely off the table, meaning the only thing they had any chance of achieving is also completely failed.
Also note for you fake list, they don't have the Donbas secured, Ukraine is now more anti-moscow than ever (That is what "muh nazi" means to russians BTW, it has nothing to do with the National Socialist German Worker's Party), and Ukraine absolutely will be applying for NATO membership as soon as it is able. As a result they were not able to take the city until the grounds dries in May. This year, not only had the muds not formed until April, but also a thick fog fell over their main target in Avidiivka, allowing them to more easily approach and take Ukrainian defenses in the city. Wagner only succeeded in taking Bakhmut once VDV and other regular military forces were dedicated to offset Wagner's losses. That is why it wasn't considered lost until it was.

I'm beginning to think the Russians have raised Luigi Cadorna from the dead to lead their army, judging by their attacks. They just keep hammering away in the same places over and over again. It feels very Great War esque.

This entire war reminds me of the First World War. Lots of trenches, minimal gains, high casualty rates.

This war is wild because the loss of equipment/casualty rates are like nothing the west has experienced since Korea

People keep saying the west (Ukraine) is losing all of this equipment and manpower but I just flat out do not believe it. If what is being said is true then Russia should have steam rolled the Ukrainians back by now but instead they’re still relying on bite and hold tactics to move forward, losing thousands of guys and pieces of equipment in the process. And any nerd can tell you the attacking force ALWAYS suffers higher casualties than the defenders.

Tankodesantniki was a Soviet invention, not a Russian one.
A little out of date these days :).
