    Very neat tank! I love how natural the tank and the fish look! The goldfish tank was neat but this scape and these fish look so much more natural!

      I agree! I loved the goldfish setup for the fish, but this is a whole aquatic experience now. Love the simple, realistic scape. That tank is just massive!

    I love the scape in this tank now. Cool selection of livestock. Looking forward to seeing their growth over time.

    Knew you go back Aro mate. I loved your Goldfish but Arowana are one of the most rewarding fish ever. Mine is 9 years old now and has really bulked up. Arowana aren't as jumpy as you think actually I've got 2 and never had this issue but I'd advise when it gets really big to put a stronger lid on top of that tank.

      Yeah, planning to upgrade to acrylic lids later on 😁

      @@AquaticElementsacrylic lids unfortunately don't work with tropical tanks the heat makes them fold and warp. I ended up having to use heavy wood. Good luck with new Arowana and Ray's. ❤

    The set up is great, and the fish are beautiful, but the arawana is going to get very big, so you might need to consider other type of filtration that don't take space from the tank.

    • @AquaticElements
      @AquaticElements  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thank you, the filter does hold the same amount of media as a very large sump filter. I will see how they get on over time 😄

    The second camera shot where we see the larger bit of the driftwood n stones looks much better as it gave a clear view. The arowana looked decent size until I saw him in ur monster tank because he looks teeny there but its going to be fun seeing how they like the tank and grow in size for sure☺️

      Can't wait to see them grow out! The water has cleared up considerably now too. More videos coming soon!

    Get some Purigen in your filters to clear the tanins and make the water chrystal clear.

    I was wondering maybe you know about using salt for medication…is there a difference between marine salt for saltwater aquarium and natural sea salt? Can the marine seasalt be applied for medicine for freshwater fish?

    • @AquaticElements
      @AquaticElements  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I would always use PVD salt for treating fish. Marine salts are generally man made with lots of other additives in there , Thank you

    The tank is not cycled, hence the cloudy water.

    • @AquaticElements
      @AquaticElements  Před 2 měsíci

      The tank is fully cycled, the water is cloudy from the substrate. Not to be confused with a bacterial bloom 😄

    • @EvilxYardxGnome
      @EvilxYardxGnome Před 2 měsíci

      (tannins won't cloudy the water, it darkens it)
      The UV sterilizer won't fix the bacterial bloom, just keep the algae down.

    • @AquaticElements
      @AquaticElements  Před 2 měsíci

      The UV will clear bacterial blooms, and the tannins will only darken the water yes. The tank is now clear with the use of filter fleece to remove the dust particulate from the water. It was simply just from the substrate 😀

    • @AquaticElements
      @AquaticElements  Před 2 měsíci +1
