    It's interesting many atheists out there claim Christians are worshipping an allegedly imaginary entity right while they are imagining things they WISH the bible said, but actually do not say to fit their relentless desire to undermine God's word.

    • @Peter-kl8jg
      @Peter-kl8jg Před 5 lety +10

      Many atheists, whether they want to admit it publicly or not (or even privately), have at one time belonged to a Christian family and now having turned away from Christ, must find a way, every day, to convince themselves that the choice they made was the correct one.
      Therefore anything and everything must be scorned, they start from a viewpoint everything in the Bible is false, no God exists and it's up to believers to prove them wrong. The only problem is, they don't want to be proven wrong - so no evidence will satisfy them. None. Absolutely none. They just float about this life pretending to themselves that "God" can be put in the same bracket as "Harry Potter" or the "Yeti".
      However the same atheist will talk about God for a huge chunk of their lives and they will hardly ever talk about the Yeti or Harry Potter. Proof right there that even when they try to make these things all the same, their own actions tell us they treat God very, very differently - despite trying to convince everyone else (and themselves) otherwise.
      Unfortunately for them they have fallen for false gospels of Hitchens or Dawkins and instead believe in the false god of science (as though science defeats God - it does not - science is the method used to discover the material world, but it cannot discover everything). So when an atheist says he/she believes in science, try not to laugh.
      Pray for atheists.

Even if you come from West to East you say "I passed Dallas-Fort Worth, even though you passed FIRST Fort Worth and THEN Dallas. The same can happen with Bethany-Bethphage. Hey IP-I'm wondering if you can do videos on these two topics:
    (1) How to reconcile evolution and the presence of Adam in the genealogies? After humans had sufficiently evolved, did God just zap souls into two random humans and they became Adam and Eve? If not, how do you think it happened?
    (2) What to do if you're a Christian who's never felt the Holy Spirit or any sort of thing that you just "can't explain away"? In other words, you believe in Jesus and trust Him as your Savior, but it still feels like your faith is built upon self-apologetics, without any sort of real relationship with Jesus?
    Thank you so much!!! Your channel is a true blessing! Keep it up!!

Yet, in a recent video, you say the Bible can't be taken at all literally, because, "The Bible says Man and Wife will be one flesh... and yet Christians aren't lining up for operations, to be sewn to their wives, are they!?!?" All as a justification for a false Gospel, where you say Eve isn't the mother of all life, Adam wasn't the first man, and God can't create a human out of dirt... yet a bunch of mindless germs can, somehow.

    Why should I care what a 2000 year old book says? Are books that make equally compelling claims now, not more relevant? I don't see why one should make the bible (an ancient writing) the center of their authority. Yes... It's the moral and cultural effect of it's contents, not the Social relevance of the book alone as the reason. I understand this. But are there not writings that do the same job? Why don't people make those spiritual writings their authority?
    Don't get me wrong though. I do love Christianity's version of God, and what it does. Especially it's psychological significance in many lives.

      True. But the problem is that writings then, have way less value because of environmental reasons. Much of human society has since progressed from many old ways and superstitions it once adhered to. If I had to choose between a book that was written by peasants that lived in a barbaric society where most people were illiterate and had a low I.Q, or a time in human civilization where most people have decent education, & literacy is at a high. I'd trust the latter.
