Where's the apology
He never answer or address any question, he is being asked to apologize for the grave mistake, yet he answers by saying we should stand with Ukraine. The question is not whether we are standing with Ukraine, but it is will he apologize. This government and Liberal party is always act this way with questions.
If what Trudeau is saying is true then why did the speaker have to resign?
He's saying it's the speaker's fault because the speaker invited the guest himself. Which is probably true, as Mr Rota said so himself in his resignation address. And I believe (unfortunate as it is, because I think Rota does a good job) that he was right to step down for this mistake.
But it doesn't mean that PMO didn't have a fault in it either. His office was responsible for reviewing/vetting the guest list. This was an oversight. I can understand that nobody would have expected a Nazi to just randomly show up, let alone be honoured in the HoC, but given how big the occasion is with Zelensky, they should have been HYPER vigilant to make sure all attendees are appropriate in every way imaginable.
They failed to do that, and that is why they should apologize.
Trudeau doesn't have to pretend that Zelenskyy didn't know this person, or that he would be there. Believe me, he knows him.

I knocked over the garbage bin in the middle of my house. There was stink and filth everywhere it was gross and to be honest I had to leave it was so repulsive. Later, I came back inside saw my family cleaning up the mess after me. I then stood in front of them to deliver my apology.
"On behalf of all the members of this family, I want to apologize to all the racoons in the city, for the filth and squalor this family has caused. There are lessons my family will learn and continue to learn over the coming weeks and months. In the mean time, lets not point fingers at who or what or how but instead, humbly accept this responsibility for blame, as a family."
I am now homeless and typing this on the computer at the library.
