So jealous!! We will take even 50 right now. This week is brutal in Jersey. 17 degrees today with the wind chill. Over it. We can’t wait for no more coats and hats and boots for 4-5 months in the laundry room. It will be just nice to just go somewhere without the dress up.

This is why I moved to Florida.
64 right now and loving it. Amazing how our bodies adapt to temperatures as we move around: up north 50 feels hot in winter and down here 60 feels cold lol! It's just another great thing about FLA we can appreciate both our seasons. By the way I got a parka in my closet I will never part with. It will collect dust but I will keep that thing forever, even if it means cranking the AC and putting it on inside haha.

You guys crack me up! It has been in the 50’s here in SC and I’m freezing. Which is funny because if I was still in NY it has been below zero. Up there I would be in shorts at 50. Now I’m in pants and a hoodie. Lol.

What gives you that sensation of chilling in florida at such temperatures is the humidity.
60 degrees is not freezing! It’s cool and nice. All you need is a long sleeve shirt
I feel this so much! I moved from PA in April so im used to the cold. But since being here, anything below 70 (low key 74) is freezing! But today Jan 7th 2023 it was 80 degrees in Fort Myers Beach. I wouldn’t trade this for anything.

Yeah I didn’t realize how different parts of Florida were until I moved to Naples Florida of which my wife said that when we moved from Tampa to Naples, it was as different as when we moved from Baltimore to Orlando. So many more beach days then we could ever expect in South Florida.
Nothing wrong with beach days! Florida is such a huge state....there is a DRASTIC difference between northern and southern florida!

Great stuff..I'm thinking of relocating my family to Tampa in a year or two I'm from Buffalo New York and I'm quite sick of the winters and the lack of stuff to do with the kids. I'm definitely nervous about it .. I hear from everybody that you either love Florida or hate it. .

It was 19 degrees here in IL. I think it's cold below 70 as well. Here in IL i run out to the van and preheat my car of course 10 minutes before we leave anywhere.
I want to visit Florida but if we visited now the sand would be chilly!
Don't forget the icy roads from over the weekend. 30 min south of Rockford and our driveway still has a nice glaze on it.

Florida’s winter compared to Minnesota. In MN it’s 30 degrees is the warmest.
