  • French authorities on the Indian Ocean island of Mayotte, part of the Comoros archipelago, have begun demolishing homes in an operation they say is aimed at sub-standard housing and illegal migration. But locals say it is leaving them homeless.
Hundreds of security forces have been deployed since the campaign started in April.

What is despicable in this report is that it does not explain the point of view of the real victims: the mahoris, inhabitants originating from the island, and more than 90% of whom wish to remain French.
In addition this report is lying, for example wuambushu does not mean "get back" but "recovery".

In 1974 99.9% of Comorians voted for Independence from France while Mayotta voted to stay with France.
After independence all the comorians want to live in French Mayotta for better life.

France claims that the islands "voted" to remain under French rule (this was not recognized by the UN). But do keep in mind that France had a large naval and military bases there, they run everything, even the ballot boxes. They counted the votes. They wanted the Island to continue on as their naval base so they could keep their foothold in the Indian ocean. And have been know to be particularly ruthless towards African leaders, activists or entire countries whom they see as being against their interests.

This is extremely biased reporting from Qatar. Comoros Gov are trying to occupy Mayotte over the wishes of local Mayotte ppl. However ...these immigrants are not the Comoros Gov. But they are still illegal immigrants from Comoros who are randomly building unsafe illegal structures to live in, on an island filled with local Mayotte ppl that have building codes and chose not join their island to be a part of Comoros when they were provided the option. The immigrantsbalways had the option to build them in their own Country of Comoros, but they chose not to. Does ur country allow random unsafe buildings built by illegal immigrants?

ASK yourself a deep and honest question first..I tried checking up some facts. Independence has not helped Comoros, citizens are illegally migrating to a more prosperous Mayotte Island under French administration 🙄AS Africans we must ask ourselves a serious question and it rotates around d issue of leadership...We really need to liberate our countries from the hands of inept and corrupt leadership that lack vision. Having visited many African countries with massive resources and massive corruption, i begin to reach this conclusions.

      1. COMOROS opted for complete independence except MAYOTTE.
      2. After several decades, MAYOTTE has a better living standards compared to that of COMOROS.
      3. People from COMOROS started illegally migrating to MAYOTTE for better life.
      4. Locals in MAYOTTE hate these illegal migrants from COMOROS as they hinder development in their island.
      5. These people in the video are illegal migrants.
      6. Because of this, MAYOTTE wants to fully integrate itself to mainland FRANCE so as to avoid experiencing the same fate as COMOROS.
      Does it make sense?
