These notes also reveal why there is a high frequency of French category draws.

I am a healthcare worker and always thinking of the express entry but I just applied for the Caregiver program in January which will take about 31 months. At the moment I have a close work permit which will be expiring in April 2025. I don't know whether my work for the caregiver program will be out before this one expires. what should I do? I am also going to be under implied status?
The category-based draws that invited candidates until February 16, 2024, are labelled with (2023-1) at the end of each published draw. However, starting from February 29, 2024, they began using (2024-1) instead.Did they start using 2024 category-allocations from February 29, 2024????

Hi Sir, thank you for your informative content as always! We received ITA based on the STEM draw conducted on 11th Apr. My wife is on LMIA based closed work permit arranged employment. On our PR application, are we allowed to attach the LMIA copy (as it is confidential employer specific information with my Wife's name on it ) or would providing the corresponding approved closed work permit be sufficient?

Unfortunately, via the online report, IQAS has evaluated only her bachelor's degree and not her diploma. Can you please help us as to why this has happened and how can we contact IQAS?
Last EE draw on 23 April 2024 with CRS score 529 was with tie-breaking 08 November 2023, while there was already a draw with CRS score 524 on 25 March 2024. This candidate must got the invitation in 25 March 2024 draw. Why latest draw tie-breaking date 08 November 2023 ?

I have a question- if I got nomination from OINP, then after receiving 600 points can I remove my work experience and add it in personal history for express entry if I am still eligible for express entry? Thanks Kubeir for your correct and informative videos. Following your videos I landed in Canada in January 24. I came through Montreal airport where they asked me to update the address on online address tool for PR card.. but when I put my UCI number in the portal, it is not able to get my details. Then what is the purpose of having target numbers 485,000 and 500,000, when they are only issuing 110,000 of PR a year ?
This is what is creating hopes for the people in the pool thinking they would receive PR at any point considering the pool is only with 215,000 candidates.
110k is no of PRs only, in one PR there will be a whole family like wife and children.
And this 500k is the total target number not just express entry, it takes refugee, family immigration etc into account as well.

Hello sir, thanks for the video. I have some thoughts - objections on the future of general draws. First of all, I do not think that the remaining percentage (21,5%) will be the only one allocated to the general draws. As you can see, both the percentage of them and the total is not provided. The reason for this argument is that since French and PNPs are drawn from a different pool in the immigration targets (26,100 and 110,000 respectively), a lot of room from the 110,700 of the federal high skilled is left to be filled. Additionally, as you said correctly, potential ITAs drawn from a general draw, but belonging to a category (e.g., STEM), are contributed to the category percentage, not the general one. Therefore, from the total expected ITAs for 2024 (95,000 as you said), if we only consider 20,900 for the general (again, some of them will eventually be from a category), the numbers do not add up (French draws are not included, therefore this 30% is practically 0 in these numbers - calculations). Sorry for the long message but I would appreciate a comment, if possible! Have a nice day and thanks again!
French are not from a different pool, but included in the economic programs. This is clearly indicated on the Immigration levels plan. Further the report clearly states that this is the percentage of draws for each category in the FHS for 2024.
FHS is Express Entry and it's clearly stated that 30% will go to French.

If they are inviting approximately 14k in general draws and as of today there is 10k from 500-600 in the pool. That means all of those will likely get invited right?

I was recently approved for a second study permit, after my PGWP expired in March. Last week I was offered a job by a company in Romania and I will be working as a remote self-employed contractor with them. If I continue to pursue my further studies in Canada while working remotely for the company in Romania can I claim this as foreign work experience for express entry? Or would it be better if I go back to my home country complete one year of work and then come back to Canada to get points for foreign work experience for Express Entry and further pursue my studies afterwards.
Also can I work full-time for a company which is outside Canada?

Brother 3 months ago in one of your videos you said French language category is small portion of overall ITA number. But in this video it shows 30% which is larger than other categories. Should we emphasis on this category? Should we learn this language (its draws are also seems frequent)?

No, you have to take into account that new people keep joining the pool every day and hence the pool gets replenished.
14000 for the rest of the year would mean that the current bullshit trend of super high cutoff for general and super low for others will remain

I missed last STEM draw by 2 points. I’m devastated as my wp expiring in a month. They will take atleast 3 or 4 ATEM draw. But they have to take sooner, so only lower ranked candidates can get ITA

@@marioaguilar2466 STEM draw is going to repeat every 3 months. One in Dec 2023 and then this April 2024. So next one will be end of July.
Is there any hope for 523 in General EE
Many NOCs are not part of STEM category despite being a STEM profession.
I worked in 2 jobs, one is Technical Support which is STEM (Technology to be specific), but not included in STEM category.
I worked as a Technical Writer at a software company, which is also a STEM profession, because if you don't have knowledge about coding, software etc, you can't be a tech writer. The NOC webpage also specifically mentions that this NOC requires a degree in computer science/engineering.
There are also a few professions that are not included in the STEM category, such as Mechanical Engineer, and related jobs.
These things need to be addressed. And I personally think Mr. Marc Miller is too stubborn to understand the reality and nake Express Entry a fair system, which is not currently.
I work as a computer repair technician and IRCC says my profession isn’t STEM 🥲

Nope. It's 6 months within the last 3 years to be eligible for a category based draw in EE.
Please don't confuse it with eligibility requirements for Express Entry, which is a minimum of 1 year valid work experience
@@AskKubeir Yes sir, but to be eligible for a category-based draw, doesn't one also have to fulfil the eligibility requirements of one of the federal programs (CEC in my case), which means having 1 YEAR and not 6 MONTHS of experience in the last 3 years?

If they have ltd francophones in the pool , to meet the french targets any possibility of lowering the clb 7 level scores ? What do u think ? Clb 7 is reasonably high score.
But if they lower the scores, that means the people they invite won't be able to communicate or work in French which would be counterproductive
@@Psychobone1 Thats not true .. even clb 5 is - good level to sufficiently to communicate in french .. clb 7 is not easy to achieve , thats why there r ltd ppl in the pool.
@@msmabcd6351 CLB 5 is sufficient, if you are a tourist, but since they expect you to be able to live and work in French, CLB 5 won't take you anywhere.

Dont rely on EE alone. Keep working on other options. EE is very unpredictable post covid.

Hi @daniellarichards5178!! I am in the exact same situation. Did you use noc 2133 (civil engineer) to be invited under STEM or did you apply through 22300 noc (civil technologist)?
@@DurgaIlavarasu I used the noc 22300 for technician and technologist because I have a diploma.. I just saw today that oinp had a draw and included drafting technicians and technologists and not civil engineering technicians and technologists which makes no sense because the qualification is the same for both NOC

This where we need to highlight to Govt its not right...people are working on other streams as well not just STEM n all.
It is the government's choice to select candidates as per it's market needs and demands
French draws weren't even as positively accepted during the ircc consultation stage compared to other categories yet they make it the largest category
