Quick question though:
Is it worth running 1x of Salvation, Eternal soul and Magical circle for the turn 1 setup to enable a banish on opponents turn? With 3 rods if I can’t get to dragoon/winda then this might be a plan B enabler?
Also what are the other options for side decking?

you can run salvation if you want, sadly the pure DM route isnt as competitivley viable or effective, the banish 1 dosent really end a opps turn just a minor speed bump imo.
for side decking adapt to your locals stuff like fantastical DRagon phantasmey can be good, droll and lock, even dark ruler no more depending on whats being played.

She got fed up of DM getting the better support cards
So the focus is to fusion summon dragoon?
i like the non engine, but i think you would benefit from less dm engine like rod and souls and more ref engine like insight and black meteor
true, but then it becomes a Red Eyes Deck
yeah, ref turbo is the best way to play dragoon, but i dont think doubling down on ref makes it a red-eyes deck. the ref is a special case, because it locks you out of any summons, it does not synergize with the classic red eye engine snd staples, so Illusion of chaos for unbricking and with some emergency DM cards works wayyy better
but ofc do as you please, esp. if its a fun deck
@shinarupu3545 I agree Ref turbo is better, just saying if you remove souls and rod for insight and Meteor that's 6 less DM cards and 6 more technical Red eyes cards so becomes more Red eyes than DM

Thats why you play crossout, you have 4 ways to directly stop that HT not to mention they actually have to draw the ash, dosent matter if it's the most played card if they don't draw it, not to mention other cards you can use to bait it

Yeah, it's more awkward to make in DM but it is doable

Maybe puppet as we get new puppet support in INFO
I think the banlist has way more important things to worry about than branded decks, no?
@rezzytheskyguy you never know with banlists tbh, sometimes they do it for future product, sometimes a full format shake up, I wouldn't be surprised if they try and balance everything so a current deck dosent dominate but you never know
@@zephyrwargamesyugioh i doubt anything in branded gets hit man. It isn't good enough to warrant any attention like that & i dont see it getting BETTER out of nowhere, you know?
@@rezzytheskyguy I agree, I wouldn't expect it to get hit because of dominance, more so for degenerate turn skip locks, so either sanctified or puppet

So, this isn't a Dark Magician deck, this is a Red-Eyes deck
I mean it has 10 DM Cards
And only 4 RE cards so more DM than RE
@@zephyrwargamesyugioh hm, yeah, you're right. Do you plan to test it out at locals?
@RogueVisionary yeah it's been working quite well tbh, very aggressive, but decks that can naturally out goon/winda deal woth it, also a little harder going 2nd but if REF resolves useally you have game due to double pop and burn.
DM Toy box is the next version which is also crazy fun
for me if someone doesnt run at least 20 cards that are dark magician or related by text
then it not really a dark magician deck. just splashing a bit of dark magician isnt a dark magician deck
