- What's up guys! We're back with some more Master Duel! Come see Dark Magician take on top tier decks with his trusted dragon, Timaeus! I also wanted to bring back one of my favourite cards, Magician of Chaos, although he unfortunately didn't get a lot of screen time. Would you guys like to see a ritual deck? Is there a way to still play a strong dm deck without overly using any floodgates? I understand for peak performance floodgates are best but they just aren't fun.
And that's totally fair mate. I recommend checking out my "Dark Magician Hybrids" playlist where I explore other archetypes with DM.
Strongest hybrid deck I've tested so far is Kashtira (link below). Another archetype I'm keen to test out is Bystials so keep an eye out when that one drops.

I think 1 copy of dark magician is not enough
I think it just comes down to each person's risk appetite. Playing 1 DM is risky as they are a primary target to banish but, the benefit is consistency if you use the additional deck space for the right card.
Hey im new and my fav card always was darkmagician and trying to make one in real life how good you say that deck is for competitive ❤:) 1/10?
Hey bro! TCG (real life) and Master Duel have different ban lists. There are cards in this build you can't use in TCG such as MaxC & Kaiser Colosseum.
In Master Duel, I would rate this deck an 8/10 as it reached high ranks in Diamond, which is good for a DM deck.
In TCG, I would use a different DM deck that builds around Dragoon.

Strongest DM card to date would be Dragoon however, it's currently banned.

Should we go first or second as a DM player?
As a DM player, you need a lot of resources to set up your board. Going second used to be ideal however, with the current meta and how fast the game is now, going first is ideal. Going second is very difficult once your opponent has managed to create a strong board with negates.

"Pure DM" meanwhile relying on Magistus, Accesscode etc. zzz, you should play Thematic YGO if you're looking for actual Thematic decks and duels
I see Timaeus when all the fire shits and kashtira are ruining the game.
The cancerous fire decks aren't immune to floodgates. They will get theirs in a future video my bro!

exactly, Selene, Imduk, Accesscode etc. definitely don't fall under "Pure DM"
Alright, checked the decklist, this is faaaaaaaaaar from "Pure DM", Raigeki, Evenly, TTT, Gozen, Rivalry, Chaos Angel All the generic links BLS, Accesscode etc.
I get it, Advanced Format forces you to play a load of generic staples but at this point you might as well just play an all out Advanced Format deck. Either play Thematic YGO with actually fun synergy decks (Thematic DM is amazing) or just go all out with the best generic staples deck available in other formats like the one on Master Duel =)
Stun decks suck
It's good deck. But it is not a pure Dark Magician deck. If it's pure then it has to only have Dark Magician cards in it only no Max C no ash blossoms.
You still need hand traps in todays game I think this DM is pretty spot on
@@mellymell_oepsn2472 it's a modern day DM deck yes but it isnt pure. I run a DM deck as well mine is pure strictly DM cards only and I still do pretty well with it. Do I lose? Yes but who doesnt. But I can say I still win more then lose
