Behringer MS-1 MKii First Play [No Talking]

- This genuinely is the first play of the Behringer MS-1 MKii. I've captured some of the initial sounds I've coaxed out of it and shared for the world to see. I've avoided any voice-over description of what's going on, but tried to keep things nice and clear so you could replicate my settings if you wanted to recreate one of these sounds.
Ths sounds you are hearing is the raw Behringer MS-1 MKii with a UAD compressor and some reverb from Native Instruments Raum. Nothing else was used in the making of this video.
I'm enjoying the Board of Canada-esque tones coming from the MS-1 MKii and I think it's going to fit in quite nicely with the rest of my setup.

Those Boss tuners they sell for guitarists work just as well on analog synthesizers. They are a must have item on synths like this that have no built in frequency reference. Will help you avoid what happened in this video..

Still not battery powered?, so as to facilitate playing on stage like a guitar, using the grip and strap.
The original was such a battery eating hogg so it would have to be a powerbank slot.
No space for batteries, but it's power specs (according to the manual) are 9V DC, 1700 mA, 5.4W Max... So it should be possible to run off an external powerbank with the right cables. Not something I have lying around but looks do-able to me.

Original Roland was red, grey and blue.
No worries. Agree on alternative colours... MS-1 MK1 came in three colours, so this may happen down the line.
They still didn´t fix the VCF Resonance issue. 😞

That’s the modulated oscillator - on purpose.

Seems that way. I’m going to try and do a first impressions video next week and if I do, will make sure to keep the tuning stable.
Hmm... I´m not shure it resambles the original at all. On a real 101 you just have to play a small sequence and dial the decay and releasy right fiddle with the cutoff and heaven opens. Maybe the patches in this demo are too exotic, but i dont fell it. Hope germans get their hands on it soon, great demos will be had. But you did a good job showing out of the box use.
Have done another video which is less exotic. Am planning to do more to show more of the range of sounds, but they take a little while to put together.
