Our 2016 Envision is coming up on 3 -years old and has been rock solid with any glitches. The turbo-4 2.0T is great on the highway getting 32 mpg at 65 mph or 30 mpg loaded. Plenty quick with very good handling reflexes. All while being quiet with a smooth ride.
I bought this car for far less than a fully loaded model - to the tune of $18,000 off making this a really good value. Now a year later the kids love that massive back seat, we get very good gas mileage with the turbo (averaging 24-25 mpg), great performance, and very good handling. Quiet too. We love this car and don't regret buying it now 18,000 miles and one year later trouble free.
Its design and all stuffs are all what I want in a Compact SUV!!
Its Interior looks luxurious.

It still blows my mind that vehicles like the Traverse and Enclave are considered a "Mid-Size" SUV. They are absolutely enormous! I'm guessing the only reason they're considered Mid-size is because they still have the Tahoe and Suburban but still..
Alex Jacobson What do they have to do with the Buick Envision?
The Buick Envision is the "smaller" version of the Enclave. In my opinion GM just has too many SUV's within their own brand. They have the Encore, the Trax, the Equinox, GMC Terrain, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban (and don't forget the Cadillac SUV as well). Just about every one of those SUV's will fit the bill whether you want a large vehicle or a small vehicle. I don't think the Buick Envision is necessary, but it's my opinion so take it or leave it I suppose.
Alex Jacobson. The Envision competes in an entirely different class than the bigger GM SUV's. General Motors utilizes the "step up" theory. Chevrolet < Buick < Cadillac. A vehicle for every budget. The folks who drive a Tahoe may not be able to budget for an Escalade. I know I can spend $50,000 easier than $90,000.
Obviously I'm aware of that, but companies like GMC hardly make any sense. They barely differentiate themselves from their slightly cheaper Chevy twins. Buick is essentially a sub-luxury brand. It's just overkill in my opinion.
I like the interior, but I am unsure with the exterior look. IDK why tho lol

I always forget the "premium" isn't the same as "luxury" as far as the automotive industry is concerned, yet...it's all the same to me!

Onstar is standard on all GM vehicles as is subscription based wifi. Navigation is included on Premium l and ll models. Not sure about the other trims as the only thing we looked at was Premium versions with 2.0T and AWD.
I went and looked at the Envision this weekend and was absolutely 'meh' about it. When I saw this video in my subscriptions I was sure that Micah was going to get me off the fence. I am not off the fence.

Cindy Who 2019 Envision gets a SS button to control it. I really like SS in our 2016 Envision Premium and wish it worked more often.
Norm T so your ss function is not consistent? It's a beautiful suv. The auto start/stop is why the grand Cherokee is of my list as well. 😒
Cindy Who It depends on a number of factors with the biggest is the state of charge of the battery to restart the car. I wished it worked more keeping the car off whenever stopped to save fuel.

many other sources say that envision suffers from lots of cheap, hard plastics inside & its NVH levels aren't in line with the rest of buick line (not to mention envision's price).
envision may be a new model for buick USA, but its kindof long in tooth in china. sux that buick chose to fill a gap in their stateside model lineup with an expensive, unremarkable vehicle.
My friend works in GM. The envision gave him a very good impression when he had a chance to sit in it for the first time.
bestpilot98 got to remember that you get get a buick for very big discounted price so if you are smart you can get a 35k-40k Buick for high 20' to mid to low 30's that will compasate for the not so premium materials that are very good compare to a chevy or a ford but cheaper than Cadilac or BMW etc.
At MSRP the Envision is asking premium / luxury prices. But when discounted the Envision offers near economy cuv prices like the CR-V prices in the $30's while offering more features, quieter ride, and longer 4 years, 50,000 mile warranty.
I hate the rear end styling on these, I do however really like the newly refreshed Encore.
I would not accept to have stop start which I could not turn off, for I hate it .
sputnic I love SS in our Envision as it is very seamless and does work in saving fuel at stop lights and drive thrus.
I would so take this over MDX or NX.
Disney Fan When the Envision Premium l is discounted to $13,000 like it normally can be found on autotrader, it is $13,000 less than a NX but offer real leather and more features.
The vehicle's annoying 'start/stop' feature cannot be turned off, even if the owner wishes to do so. So it's only a matter of [expensive] time until it breaks and turns off and won't turn back on. For this degree of non-reliability I could buy another BMW and REALLY ruin my year..............................!
Jeph629 a redesigned heavy duty starter and extra battery capacity. This is the seamless SS offered today. If you want to by pass it you can lower the AC temperature or shift into low and avoid it.

Freedom Our 2016 Envision Prem ll is built better than most cars and cuv's in the states. It also costs slightly more and offers more features and longer warranty.
I don't see a purpose for Buick when Chevrolet and Cadillac exist.
