    Hey everyone! I still have Bell's Palsy in this video, you're going to see it in a few other videos. Unfortunately, its going to get worse before it gets better but if you're noticing something strange with the right side of the face its because its paralyzed.

    Have had one for 18 months, rides nice, good power for the class & well equipped. Only things missing off the Essence is rain sensitive wipers & front park assist. Update looks OK but I tend to change model at car changes so probably won’t get another. As for where it’s made I have driven American, British, German, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Italian & now Chinese

      For a Asian made car the Envision is a very good especially when discounted. You won't find another compact SUV with many features for the price of $33K for the 2.0T Premium model. For reference it is $10,000 less than a Lexus NX 2.0T but has more features.

    I sell at a Chevy/Buick store and I want to give you a quick update on these. I have sold a few of these new but we are absolutely selling them like hotcakes as 1 yr old used vehicles with about 20k miles because you can buy them used under $30k. Senior citizens love them but I've sold them to all ages. I took one on a 600 mile road trip. It was the 2.5 Essence FWD model. Set the cruise at 75mph and got 33mpg with 4 people and luggage in the car. Very impressive and comfortable. Interior could be styled a little better and I agree with Sofyan that it should have tactile buttons for the climate control like the EnClave instead of the laggy mini touchscreen it has now.

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 Před 5 lety

    Things I'd like Buick to do with this car.....make it here in the US (I honestly don't care but just to no longer hear all the morons complain about it - get over it people, the auto industry is a global market), have more choices for colors inside and out, a dark brown leather would be nice, and a black headliner option (please!!).
    The start/stop in this car is by far the best I've driven. MB's and Audi's that I've been in that has it, it is very loud, clunky and very noticeable. This car's is very quiet, and with the radio off, I still could barely tell.
    This refresh is extremely subtle, enough so that it really looks no different. The rear is the most noticeable. I hope the 2020 model gets a complete redesign. This car was old when it first came here since China was selling it in that form for a couple of years, so it is definitely due for a complete redesign. I like the idea of making the overall body like a baby Enclave. That new design is gorgeous. Then the Envision can have an Avenir trim level too.

      @normt5463 Před 6 lety +1

    It’s awesome that Sofyan is still in front of the camera with his face being numb. Unrelated, I think Buick could have better integrated the front camera in the grill. It almost looks like some sort of radar sensor, which is right above the camera, ironically.

  • @ravenlynn78
    @ravenlynn78 Před 6 lety +5

    I must like dated, boring designs because I love the look of this vehicle, inside and out. I’ve been disappointed by most redesigns as of late. I’m currently driving a 2015 Equinox LTZ, V6 AWD, which I bought used in early 2016 because I HATED the changes they made to the front of the vehicle for 2016, and I really hate the full redesign. I always like to look ahead and have an idea of what my next vehicle will be, and before the Envision caught my eye, I liked nothing. The trend seems to be that most manufacturers are either making their SUV’s look overly masculine or like a giant has pinched or smashed down the rear end. The biggest offender in my opinion is the redesigned Terrains. I think they’re absolutely hideous. I suppose everyone is different. Thank you for your in depth review. It was very thorough.

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 Před 6 lety +4

      ravenlynn78 My wife liked the look of our 2015 Terrain thr best too. But after driving my 2016 Envision 2.0T while I was changing her oil she asked what I did to her Terrain to make it ride so rough. She has been duped by Buick refinement.

    • @ravenlynn78
      @ravenlynn78 Před 6 lety +1

      Norm T, thank you. My fiancé had a 2012 Terrain SLT2 before trading it in on a Tacoma. I liked the look of of it a lot but thought the ride could be a little more refined. Oddly, I didn’t think my Equinox had the ride and turn ratio issues that the Terrain did. It seems like it should.
      That’s good to know about the Envision’s ride. I’ll know NOT to go test drive one for a while or I might be tempted to make a financially irresponsible decision since I’ve got a while to go before mine is paid off. :)

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 Před 6 lety +1

      ravenlynn78 This 2015 Terrain has firm springs and firm front seats that my wife liked the trucky feel that I did not like. I did like the back seats with more cushioning when she drove.

      Norm T not really it kinda looks like a minivan, no LED turn signals, it has fake wood which is ridiculous for the class and price point, a very ugly gauge cluster borrowed from lower-end GM divisions, cheap plastic throughout the interior, a terrible, outdated, small infotainment screen, no power adjustable steering wheel, CHINESE built, and no my phone and most electronic devices are made in the US or India which has better quality control, ugly switchgear, a base powertrain which has under 200 horsepower which is ridiculous, a terrible and unreliable transmission, lackluster performance especially from a start and the low end, a terrible, droney exhaust note, bad brand cache, no adaptive cruise standard, bad reliability reputation, cloth seats standard which is cheap and horrible, and finally very, very overpriced.

  • @Buc_Stops_Here
    @Buc_Stops_Here Před 5 lety +5

    I ended up choosing this over the BMW X3, Lexus RX, and Volvo XC60. Why? I test drive all four cars and the differences being commented on in this video are very minor. It is all in the manner of the tester and in this case the differences between all four cars is fairly minimal. Then again, while GM is very competitive on pricing the others were not. At $15,000 off list this was a great deal for the 2018 model year.

    • @brunothepug8807
      @brunothepug8807 Před 4 lety +1

      I bought a LaCrosse after pricing and driving just like you did. I now have had it for just over 3 years and love it. The dealer service is way less expensive and good quality. I had a nail in a tire and when doing a basic service, they fixed it for free. OnStar is awesome and may save our life someday. Buick is just not a snob brand and that is just fine with me. I may trade my LaCrosse for an Envision if I get an itch. I doubt you will have any issues with your Buick at all. My wife's MB GLK 350AWD had been a disaster of early component failures one after another and service costs horrendous. Never ever again will buy a MB. Major issues like rear diff failure at under 45K miles. Really?

    No fake port-holes on the side! With those buttons on the door handle, how do you deactivate them on car washes - or do the keys get locked inside all the time? One touch up on the rear windows is actually dangerous for small kids, so that is why many cars don't offer it. Trunk is actually smaller than the Regal TourX by small amount.

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 Před 6 lety +1

      Sam S The one touch windows down is pretty much to norm or don't push thr button down so far to control rear window height. We have a wild puppy that would be out the window after a squirrel in a second so I know what you are talking about.

    • @Buc_Stops_Here
      @Buc_Stops_Here Před 6 lety

      Not offered on the Regal, but offered on the Envision. Found that interesting - the line of Buick is not consistent in what they offer across the line. Probably because control of manufacturing is split between the US, China, Poland, and Germany across the brand.

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 Před 6 lety +1

      Sam S Most GM of late have been one touch down or express down with the fronts being one touch up. Rears do not going auto up but do on my XTS Vsport which is not the norm. The wide bar is a lockout for the rear windows so rear has no control.
      I think the port holes on the side would be better has the ones on the hood hold water when washing the car. :)

    Having previously watched videos of the refreshed Buick Envision in China (despite my not speaking the language), I noticed that the top trim there had a "Tour" mode button, "Sport" mode button, an "Off-Road" mode button and a hill descent button (where the traction control button is located, at the front end of the center console). It appears that the North American version will not have these features - perhaps to lower the vehicle price here, unless they're part of an option package that has yet to be revealed.

    With this refresh, I am hearing that it will be in dealerships this month (April). I'm wondering how true that is. (I'll ask when I go there next week.) It would make sence because Buick (or at least my dealership) is offering 20% off Envisions right now, take delivery by 4-30. They did the same deal last month with the Acadia. Therefore, with the refresh that's coming being rather mild, it would make way more sense to get a 20% off 2018 loaded premium 2 that stickers around $51k. That's $40k now.
