Thank you for this post. Which password is required? My c: drive is locked. I am in the command prompt, on d:. The command itself works and when I enter the only password I know of (to log into windows), I get an error that the password failed to unlock volume c.

Just got to star menu and type resetbitlocker u can directly reset

@@SkiMaskT Thanks for replying, I was unable to find the "local users and group" option. As you can see I have commented 9 months ago, I have resolved the issue by re-installing the OS and I had found my recovery keys.

for those wondering what password you're going to put, just put your passwor that you use to log in to your laptop.
You mean the password to log into Windows? Didn't work for me. My c: is locked and I am in the command prompt but no idea what other password this could be.

-u should put CMD as admin
- type the code in the video
- put your password to log in to your laptop in the code
- it should open after that
@@aaronmiguelsison3766 thank you. that's what I tried and it didn't work. I assume, based on what I have seen in other posts, the password needed for this command prompt workaround, is the bitlocker password which I don't have either.
