What, no mention of his kickstart screen debut as Barry in the brilliant Auf Wiedersehen Pet. A great actor.
Awful unfunny series.
Yes, he played the part of Barry brilliantly especially with his Brummie accent.
@@MarkHarrison733 Rubbish it was a great witty series full of great characters
@@MarkHarrison733 Unfunny ?? You obviously do not appreciate good well written witty comedy drama, and Tim's Barry was a marvious character.
@@markkaminski4496 People watched any unfunny rubbish when there were only 3 or 4 channels.
I grew up living across the road from Tim and his mum silvia such a nice family
Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
For me he's one of the very best. It always looks so effortless with Tim. He adapts into different characters and his performances are always so convincing. He typifies what true acting talent is really all about and that's playing completely different characters and not being the same persona in every film you play in, which it seems doesn't seem to bother Hollywood these days. A real gem of an actor and well loved and appreciated here in the UK.
I was just about to walked into a pub in South-east London when Timothy was walking towards me and I said hello Timothy and his response calling me by my name which I think I met him before and his remembered by name both of us walked in as it we was friends laughing and joking and people started looking at us and we finished and parted saying see you later. Timothy is a very nice and pleasant person to approach. I am sorry to hear about his condition and hope his continues to act.
What a subtle actor. Remember his role as the memory eccentric working in photograph museum….alongside Lindsay Duncan!
Shooting The Past, yes was a great series.
A superb actor, a credit his profession and to his country.

Too many to have one favorite. He was brilliant as Turner, who happens to be my favorite painter. He was a very different, unusual and gritty Fagin in a version of Oliver Twist made for British television. Pierrepoint was unforgettable. He did a demanding, dialogue driven set piece called The Journey, a dramatization of what was seemingly a long car ride to a summit meeting between two liberal and conservative Irish leaders during the troubles. I just saw him in a group bit with Billy Connoly, Stephen Rea and Bill Nighy playing the drummer of a burned out middle aged rock band looking to make a comeback. Hysterical. Another one I saw recently was the heartbreaking story of a mild, aging father who is reeling from gun violence that tears his family apart and trying to figure out how to respond.
I think he could do anything, and I'm always eager to see him try.
An underrated role of his was Trotter in Journey's End (not the 2018 one).
Yes, we remember it too! Thank you so much for sharing. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
I saw walking across the road towards the antiquity hall pub in Oxford a few years ago
Timothy Spall is a remarkable actor - I loved him in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet - his Black Country accent was so good (I come from the region) that I was convinced for many years that he was from the area - his character was key to both the first and second series. He was great also in his various roles in Mike Leigh films. But, his best role for me was in Turner - a superb performance. A greatly admired and much loved actor! Long may his health hold out for him!
How about outside edge. Another good series
love Timothy Spall and convincing work, excellent work in the Elephant Man.
So true! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?

Timothy for me is one of the British Greatest actors. ❤
My father was diagnosed with acute myloiad leukaemia and despite chemotherapy he passed 6 weeks later on 4th July 1986.
I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my father in the same way. It was 1989. I hope the treatment for leukaemia has advanced so more people don't lose their lives in this devastated manner.
@@lesleyhollinshead3714 I think in nearly 40 years there have been many advances but basically we still cant solve the base cause. I'm sorry for your loss it's never easy even 37 years on I still remember but at least my employer gave me all the time off to spend his last 6 weeks alongside his bed. Mjxxx
May your father find peace. Thanks for sharing. Stay positive 😢

His rendition of UKs hang man Albert pierpoint was superb, i used to deliver pierpoints daily pint of milk way back early 70s Southport UK.
One of my favourite performances from him was in the Red Dwarf episode Back To Reality where he plays the Video Game technician aka "Brummie Git".
"It's a blatant clue issnit! Oh what a bunch of twonks"

He played Albert Peirrepoint in the film the last Hangman. I think he played a great part
I often confuse people when I say I’ve met Winston Churchill.
What about his brilliant portrayal of Barry in au vedesain pet.
In the thumbnail he's starting to look like Edward Fox.

Auf Wiedersehen Pet was the best, Barry.

I wish he had left us in 1996.

@@stewartwallwork6505 He's talentless and unfunny.
