Never forget when they played this song at Madison Square Garden back in the early 90's, the floor was literally shaking from the base synth. But things have changed since then... The lights go down in New York City, special love affair, with COVID in the air.... lol jk

I was 21 when this came out and so did I... but I faced so much insecurities and turmoil rather than enjoy my youth and beauty .. I listen to this now crying .. wishing the years back to then .. I love Erasure.. they dont make music like this any more … they where good times x

Nothing else I like is like Erasure. Such a fantastic band. Vince Clarke needs to recognised for his song writing genius. Brilliant combination of songwriter and performer.

He has received an Ivor Novello award for his songwriting- not too shabby an award - and about to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame as a founder member of Depeche Mode
Love Erasure
Erasure is one of the most underrated bands and one of the best. I saw them three times in concert 89-90. I had their tapes blasting in my car during high school. Yes, kids, I did say cassette tapes. Pre-CD lol

It was 1992 and I listened to this song while reading a great Spanish legend called "El Monte de las Ánimas", written by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. This song was such a great soundtrack for my imagination of the story.

26 yrs on- a song to end the year, and in this case the 80s.
I recall going to see Erasure at the Showering Pavillion at the Bath and West showground in Somerset on 17th December 1989 and this was the song that was in the charts at the time and the live performance of this song was awesome where I believe that it was promoting their 'Wild' album.
