‘Am I Right?’ was the third single, from Erasure’s Number 1 album ‘Chorus’. Originally released in November 1991, the single reached number 15 in the UK charts.
The video was directed by fellow Mute artist and video maker Angela Conway (A.C Marias) who also made videos for EMF and the Smashing Pumpkins.

Unbelievable song, still sounds amazing almost 30 years later. One of Erasure's best, no doubt. They just don't make music like that anymore.

@@ruairioneill1601 - no it isn't. I go to a lot of gigs of unsigned bands, and there are loads of really good bands about. They just don't get the audience they deserve. What you really mean is that modern music played on the radios and tv is terrible.

I remember listening to this whole CD on repeat, headphones, lights off. Probably either high, or depressed, or both, lol. The music is just so good.
Maybe their deepest song ever. The mixed emotions. The changes from minor to major. Not easy to capture such complex emotions. B-minor: magenta; transition from the earthly realm. D-major: Orange, re-generation.

it's a masterpiece. Chorus was one my favourite albums as a child and I still rank it top 40 best albums ever made. played the cassette over and over again in my room while playing.

Thank you for posting this song!!! I have always loved Erasure lol I was 13 when the tape Chorus came out. Back then this was the biggest song on the radio. Listening to it while my cousins husband drove us three in the back of his 1990 Ford Escort back then was a BIG deal to us. This tape/album/CD came out in 1991 brings back memories for me.

I got to see them perform this live on Cyndi Lauper's True Colors tour here in Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and I cried my way thru it. It's such a beautiful song.

Love so much this song, it remembers me when I felt in love with Nancy, my wife 1995...after 20 years we both listened hundred of times until she passed away because her breast cancer and some bad adventists who convinced her to recover health by means od plants and biblical food diet...she died without morphine, so wanted these insane adventist guys...two years gone and cry as the same as 1995, my first kiss with her...thanks Erasure

Love this track. I don't know how the band make such great tracks but they do it brilliantly..it's evocative, a little melancholy and reflective. Just brilliant songwriting and production...the music nowadays just lacks this kind of "soul" in the music.

Wild and Chorus both. The Circus grew the potential with more input from Andy than Wonderland. The Innocents took them to a new level. Wild, a lot would say their greatest. Chorus, as good as Wild with a new sound. For me personally, they declined with Abbaesque onwards.
Still, after 30 years, I remember the lyrics by heart! Amazing band, as well as FM radio DJs who introduced a lot of people of my country to this music. We owe so much to FM radio DJs!
