I absolutely love the tradition of starting our preseason at Walsall. I thought this match was a bit more interesting than usual with Archer, Barry and Barkley back, and the added spice of the new lads too. You can only take so much about from these games, but I thought there were some real moments of skill and Morgan looked particularly sharp. Excellent start...

Welcome Max and Simon, went to Walsall but was sat in the middle of the Walsall end. Morgan Rogers carried on were he left off last season and I reckon he’s gonna be one to watch this year. Nice to see Louie Barry grab a goal it’s about time he showed us what he can do. I’m off the see our under 18’s play Chasetown on Saturday so I’m hoping to catch the game later. 2021/22 - 45 pts; 2022/23 - 61 pts; 2023/24 - 68 pts. We've got to be aiming for at least 80 pts next season; and so 4th again, or maybe 3rd depending on Liverpool who are possibly in transition.

barrenechea, Nedeljkovic look great signings, and illing jnr too, Rogers looked like a watkins 2.0 I know it was only wasall, but thats why we scored 3. You can still get a sense of how well we are playing. If things click, and either chelsea man u or liverpool skip a beat, i think we can get 4th again, but everything would need to go perfect for us again. Dont see us beating arsenal twice and city again this season, so need to replace those hard points from somewhere else like man u possibly. Fingers crossed, but would be happy for any european place so no lower than 7th please!
