Thank you, thank you, thank you! I get the weirdest looks when I get “loud” with my horse. Jumping jacks, running toward him with a rain poncho on, flinging my arms around etc. Always when I’m questioned I try to explain that I’m trying to prepare my horse for anything. For example we had some large bales of hay temporarily stored in our arena. I loaded my kids with treats then had them (safely) jump out at us from behind the bales. At first he panicked but after he realized he could approach with curiosity and get a treat from the scary kids he started to get interested instead of fearful when they jumped out. This horse is now HARD to scare with our strange human ways. It’s awesome to see someone else show exactly what I try to do and that it can help the horse and Person be more confident. I am looking forward to watching all of your videos!
