❤❤❤
You should.
Good
Aww thats beautiful!
Thanks 🙂
Right on..gotta love it...😊😊😊
Yes! She is a super fun horse
Been better if the silence could have been enjoyed along with the view!
I started by backing my horse off shorter ledges and increased over time. I used the pull/release technique and grain, which sped up the process. After one week we are loading with confidence, off and on with grain. Now no grain required, loading and backing out with ease.
So cool
Glad I ran across your video. I figured most of this on my own, but You've either solidified, confirmed, or added info. Thanks!
What treats do you recommend?
Great question. There are many brands out there that are great. I look at the ingredient list to make sure they resonate with you.
Nomadic populations worked at liberty and in tandem with their horses. Mutual cooperation.
Would you make that video for Joe Biden?
This is a great concept. I have been watching videos to get a horse used to a hose.. they have their horse dancing all around and not being calm. I want calm and hose. This is great thank you. Following your videos now. I can't wait to try this with my mare, I just didn't want to chase her down with the hose and possibly scare her more.
You do such a nice job of explaining and emphasizing when NOT to give a treat! 💛💛💛
Some of the definitions of play are that they are fun, pleasurable, reinforcing. I can't see this in this video, the horse moves away from the flag, thus the flag is aversive and unless it interacts it gets the aversive flag or rope treatment. The treat comes too late, it is not reinforcing the interaction with the object but the turning to him. Where is the reward marker?
So my gelding will get two feet in, I’ll release and praise, but then soon as I pull and hold he backs out. Then I have to start again. I can spend all day only getting that far.
That is awesome! Beautiful baby is learning quickly. That horse is so lucky to have you!
TBH I WAS FR BOUTTA TYPE A WHOLE PARAGRAPH FR
Great stuff! Well done )
My beloved horses are passed and I was riding without bits 30years ago and everyone thought I was crazy until they could see the calming effect it had on my horses. I loved my first horse so much that I always thought that even the snaffle wasn’t good for him. So that’s when I decided to not ride him with a bit. It changed his life and mine. But unfortunately you have people who say they have been riding horses for years and really don’t care cause the problem is they are not that good of riders and afraid! Thank God things have changed and more teachers like yourself are making a difference. And telling people THE BIT DOES NOT CONTROL A HORSE. IT CAN ACTUALLY MAKE THINGS WORSE!
We have a gelding that gave us a bit of a headache when it came to loading. We found this video last week, and tried a few times following your method and today he loaded 5 times with no issues at all - thank you for sharing 👍
You are not clear about what to do if my horse does not do it. Your horse did everything perfectly. How do I show my horse to go around a con. Please use a green horse
I just don't think you have done ground work to help with his resistance. I think being obsessed with his hindlegs is irrelevant. He is resistant in all areas of his body. I noticed he does not like things happening on the right. I would not keep going pulling him until he is more body aware. He need to learn not to lean and you not to have a fight over it.
Good morning. Just came across your video. Wonderful info. Where are you located? Those mountains behind you are gorgeous. 😊
When you run out of those treats, you are screwed.
Awesome video Rachel!
Thanks Tina
Trailer? What Trailer? That's a stall. Says Dazzle. Well done.
Yes, I agree, she thought it was lovely, and...onboard snacks.
My horse follows me everywhere,if I leave her pasture to walk down to the creek, she wiens for me loudly and runs up and down the fence line
TOO Narrow 😢😢
Mounting block begins at about 4:06 minutes.
For a person that gets distracted easily (me) this might work.. I think the "look at me , follow me" stuff is simple enough. I'll start this week with my horse Duke and my rescue horse Otis.
Promo'SM
Nice job
He’s like “mom? Mom what are yo- ugh. Okay fine we can chill”
Thank you I am just getting back to horses after40 years❤️
❤❤❤
The English is dodgy but the idea is sound 😆
My 9 month young colt and I are both new to training. With his gentle and calm nature, I think Liberty Training is best for us. I have an issue though; Boaz will not eat treats! He does appreciate being called, "Good boy" while I pet him. Is that enough? Any ideas what he might eat? Thank you!
is liberty done right of course a guarantee that your bond will carry over when riding.
This is my horse, he even looks like my horse (a line back Dunn). OMG, mines a mustang as well. I really like your attitude about how to handle the loading
WOW!!! Amazing video.... thank you so much for sharing and will be using this technique with my Icelandic who has just come from Iceland and never been washed. Can't wait to watch more of your training videos.
Thx!! Just did this - and it works! Loaded her 5 times.
Your video is a beautiful reminder of the power of human creativity. Loved it!
Thank you, I enjoyed that a lot. I am just learning about the vibe of this. I am an energy healer and just using what I know to work with horses. Such an adventure.
I like it 👍
Put a light on inside the trailer so you are not asking them to go into a dark box
Thank you I just realised what a bond my horse and I have as we bush walk off lead no equipment at all and no treats other than a pay and thank you we play together in the wild bush when I garden at home she try’s to use the rake people laugh at me as I do more on the ground than in the saddle but when I do step into the saddle it is amazing and free thank you for making me see that my horse and I are one
Sorry, but your direction is lacking how to achieve the goals your advising on. After my 20 years of ground work, if I were a newbie I would be asking a million questions as to how you got through each step. Perhaps you could break how to get through each individual step.
Dont like the kicking.
