I was in Kyoto in early April and saw at least 5 but could not get a decent photo 😟. They walk too fast 😂. It was very special to see them, so mesmerizing 🤩

straw berries Because of the number of tourists recently and a by-law that was passed against geisha photography without permission I would be very hesitant to ask them to take a photograph. There are opportunities elsewhere to take photos.

I think it was last weekend. You need to set your camera speed to 250-300th of a second. I agree, they are so mysterious!
I don't think you're supposed to take pictures of them.

Looks like some Geishas have Assistants to help them carry their bags.
They are shikomi, girls training to be maiko (young geisha).
