If you're here then READ THIS. I tried everything that Bissell recommended to troubleshoot and nothing worked. I ended up taking the entire steam cleaner apart and what I found was the water lines from the reservoir to the pump and then from the pump to the nozzle on the bottom were kinked! Behind the mid section plate, it's super tight, as well as where the head pivots. The power and water lines are all crammed through the same small hole and over time, from the constant movement action, they get kinked and lose suction pressure so water just dribbles out or nothing at all. I had to pull some slack on the water line so it didnt pinch in that same spot. It works great now!
Hope this helps someone.
Thank you for this! Was it hard to take apart? I'd rather try it than box it back up and return it. I just got mine 4 days ago and it only puts barely a mist onto the floor, if anything.
What to do if your crosswave doesn't spray any cleaning solution
Step one make sure you have fluid in the spray bottle
If you have cleaning fluid in the spray bottle proceed to step two
Step 2, stand your Bissell crosswave upright, grab it by the carrying handle carry it outside and throw it in the garbage
Tempting, best advice so far! Thank you kindly👍
@@chrisoliver8787 The most satisfying part of all was busting it up to fit in the garbage bin.Your floors will still be dirty but you'll feel much better.
I am nearly at step 2.
I’ve had my crosswave over a year. It worked well, until today. No spray, not clogged. My biggest complaint is, the crosswave is harder to clean than a good old wring mop. Dirt , hair etc don’t clean out as easily as advertised. I often disassemble it to clean brush, cover and under the brush and the cleaning tray! The dirty water tank also needs to be scrubbed after each use. I’m going back to a good old mop and will use my vacuum before mopping. Believe it or not, those two steps are quicker than clean up of the crosswave.
I did this and it worked so you could try it too. I turned off the machine and held the spray trigger for a whole minute (vacuum was locked in its straight position). Then i turned my bissell back on and hold on the spray trigger. Within a few seconds, the spray began to work! Hopefully you all have the same luck i did :)
Awesome tips fixed my crosswave in seconds
tried all suggested tips, none worked. I have a $300 wet/dry vacuum that doesn't work. When it worked, it worked well. Now, no spray. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Did you use tap water?? If so hard water and mineral might have clogged the dispenser, use 50/50 vinegar and hot water. Try dispensing again?
@@resigningstars after adding the vinegar and hot water in the reservoir, do you let it sit then try and dispense?
@@lauraclark3941 yes 👍
@@lauraclark3941 did it work
Im having same issue. First light stopper working, but everything else worked fine. I assumed the bulb died. Now im hearing no, cause a few uses later is when sprayer stopped working.
I will try your vinegar suggestion right now. Im at work where I use this one. Thank you kindly
I tried all of this and none of the solution is coming out. I spent $250 on a product that I used twice. Really disappointed because Bissell is supposed to be really good.
Me too. It’s super frustrating
Same I'm so frustrated
My mom just got a brand new one that doesn’t work, after having a different model that stopped working after two uses (the brush stopped moving?) and I’m honestly so sad we couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Nice product in theory
Try loosening the cap on the water tank to let some water out and then hold the water button to spray it and then it should come unclogged that was problem with mine
Never buying Bissel again, only used it a few times. No spray even after trying all the tips...
Tried all this shit and still didnt work. out of the blue jsut stopped working
Found this cause my boyfriend just bought me one of these for Christmas. Tried to used it right away and the sprayer isn't working. I'm getting a replacement but it's kind of annoying this seems to be a reoccurring issue. Wish I would have known about this before I asked for one 😡
New Spinwave. Tried everything to get sprayer to work. Never did. So...I have a Bissell that never worked. It's not clogged because it is brand new!
Same
I’ve had mine for years but have used it maybe 20 times. It’s not spraying, out of warranty and costly repairs. So disappointed in such an expensive machine. I live in Bissell city and support them by purchasing their various items. Now I fell dismayed to purchase anymore of their products.
Works great but why cant it spray the entire roller and not just the ends? Thats very annoying. The middle of my roller stays dry
Worked. Thanks
My light won’t turn on and it won’t spray. But it will clean.
Hi it vacuums but doesn't mop and it's not clogged what can I do ? To fix it
Your machine lines are just clogged if this video doesn’t work what i did is that I loosened the clean water tank cap so that a little water can come out and I keep holding the button and it unclogged hope this helps
I bought one from Costco a few months ago.. tried everything in this video and it’s still clogged😟
Sorry to hear it's still not spraying! Give us a call and we'd be more than happy to help further with your machine. 1-800-237-7691.
Have one also. Again no spray. Shame on Bissell. These are a scam. Whoever buys the Bissell crasswave good luck. They are absolutely garbage.
@@bissell I need help! This does not work for mine...still doesn't spray
My only sprays water while on the stand. I have the cross wave Max wireless. My spray button doesn’t work. Any solutions?
Same!
These suck. Should be off market
Hi I did that and it's still not mopping in there a way it mop again ? I really want to fix it
After 2.5 years my bissel crosswave doesn't spray water I checked everything but I don't know how to fix it
Bought mine used. Spray never worked, and did all this and it still don't work
Sorry to hear this, Jory! You may want to contact the seller for assistance if the machine was purchased used.
How do I keep it spraying high volume like it's priming without changing wall outlets? After 10 to 15 seconds, it only have the trickles to keep the brush wet.
Did you figure out how to fix it? Same issue here
My crosswave seems to only spray on one side of the roller. It looks like it wants to spray on the other side, but just a slight little bit of suds appear in the line that pulse when I pull the trigger, but that side of the roller stays pretty dry. I've checked for obstructions, but it didn't help. Been this way since the day I got it.
Hi Lisa - sorry to hear the video did not help! Give us a call and we can better assist. 1-800-237-7691.
My does the same thing, did you ever fix it? If so how?
Had the same problem.
Right side barely sprinkled water.
I have fixed mine by cleaning the white round plastic on the transparent brush head (the place the water comes out toward the brush) with a thick needle.
The hole there was clogged by something, maybe a tiny rock.
Anyway, after a long time clogged its fine now.
@@hellxkatz I took a needle and cleaned out the holes that the water squirts out of. Works good now.
that's a really not good vacuum, tried the way doesn't work
Absolutely useless! This doesn't help at all.
If, like me, you try the useless advice above and it still doesn't fix the issue. Then the problem is that the cheap water pump they installed to pull the cleaning solution has died. After spending nearly $300, the pump burns out after only a year of use. Shameful!
Sorry to hear the steps did not help! Contact us direct and we'd be happy to help with warranty coverage. 1-800-237-7691
