Your videos are a wee bit on the very simple side and I do hope they have helped others. We have had our 2305 for about 3 years. In the past 4 months it has had extremely poor performance. The suction is strong at the intake above the dirty water tank, but it is leaving too much water on the floor. Not puddle as portrayed in one of your videos. It is not vacuuming the water correctly. Filter and brush have been replaced with new ones. Still too much water. When I apply a bit of pressure on the front of the head (brush windows) it does pick up more water. I thought it may be the rubber piece that is the length of the brush window that appears that it should at least be close to the floor and help with sucking water and not air. I would be nice to be able to order only the gasket and not the entire brush window. Any help from Bissell would be appreciated.

Unclogging the unit isn’t nearly as simple and easy as shown in the video. I’ve had our Crossweave for about a year, but I should’ve returned it after the first unclogging episode.
The unit barely stands up on its own, but tips over the moment you start to take off the roller cover. Then once you realize you have to lay it down to remove the clog, it won’t lay flat. Also, it’s nearly impossible to remove a clog higher up in the airway. If Bissell acknowledges that clogs happen (hence puts out a video tutorial to address it), they need to do a better job designing a vacuum that makes it easier for the user to remove the clogs.

Description is not solving my problem: All steps done, but even though my filter is new (in the dirty water tank), when I plug it in, the suction is gone. It appears that the suction gets lost around the dirty water tank already, and once the filter is installed, it's gone completely. Result: Dirty water remains on the floor, not useable.

I have used my Crosswave exactly four times, keep it very clean and now suddenly the brush is not spinning. I checked it thoroughly for obstructions--the gear that is supposed to whirl the brush is not even moving even when I remove the brush to see if it's working. Some of these tutorials say there is a reset gear on the handle but there isn't one. This is really angering because I've only had it since Christmas

FYI, after owning my Crosswave for 1.5 years, there was suddenly no suction of the extruded water off the floor. After checking and cleaning and clearing all parts according to your video above, I finally decided to EXCHANGE the old filter for a new one. The old and very used filter was not allowing the machine to create a vacuum and the water was just sitting on the floor being spun around by the mophead. I think it may have been something to do with the edge gasket glued around the filter. The new filter did the trick. Save yourself some frustration and buy a new filter . . . and keep it clean. I love this machine, BTW

Laurel Burger that’s what I’ve done as well except my new filter needs to be changed like once a frikkin week! That is expensive and I don’t understand why it’s happening when I thoroughly clean it and let it dry each time.

Yes! I was in the same boat, had the Crosswave for now 2 years and had the same problem. I cleaned and cleared everything out to no avail, then changed the damn filter and BAM! Worked like a charm, and it works perfectly! The only damn solution I didn't try until now. So glad this worked, since I have an ungodly amount of tile and I really need my Crosswave to work!! Thanks for the tip!

I like this Bissell🌼 But it does require a fair amount of emptying and you have to clean the roller after every use. The rollers only spin in “Rug” mode - and not too fast. The floor mode works more like a mop without being able to scrub hard.

    • @robertwall2617
      @robertwall2617 Před 3 lety +3

Roller should be spinning in either mode. Something is wrong if yours does not.

You can remove the brush window by pulling it up and forward. You can pull it from where her thumb is placed when the window is being pushed back onto the cleaner. If you need additional assistance, contact us direct here and we can better help: support.bissell.com/app/contact

The amount of cleaning that must be done after using the crosswave is time intensive and cleaning the tube at the bottom can be laborious. After just over two years, with new filters and good seals, the vacuum suction above the filter is still excellent but no longer has suction beyond the hose at the base, very weak and no seals are damaged or missing. A high quality mop and bucket is faster to use and clean up is easier. First and last time I buy bullshit products like this

UPDATE 2: apparently, there is this issue I normally check off the list first. Human error. Specifically, the common failure to read the manual fully because, after all, I don't need a manual, instructions or any other type of directions because I'm stubborn, problem solving, persistent and male.
Solution: The dirty water bucket was full. When upright with the Crosswave turned on, the bucket/floater just didn't have enough water to deactivate the suction. When I started to move the handle at lower and varying angles, it was doing it's job - stopping more water from entering the tank because the floater hit it's maximum height and turned the suction off.
So, I suppose it could be a bit more sophisticated and just shut off the suction all together somehow, or have an indicator light when the water gets that high. Just thoughts to make the customer experience even better!
It's still the simplest, most effective multi-floor cleaning solution I have purchased. I've gone through many. I can finally swiff-tly toss away years of frustration and bewilderment as to why I continued to use them for so many years.… along with the wet hairball dust-bunny sand/dirt leftovers that have to be picked up by hand, left behind so swiff-tly.
UPDATE: Bissell (if you can hear me), the strongest point of contact is the gasket around the filter right? It's closest and meant to seal. Could it be a faulty gasket? Like I mentioned below, it starts up ok and once I move it around, the suction is lost and the motor increases because of the loss of suction. I'm spending too much time thinking about this.
    *****
Lost suction after just 24hrs of having it! It worked great yesterday, and I left a borderline over the top review of my instant love affair. Today, it turns on and functions fine. Something triggers it to lose suction. The videos here didn't help. And the owners manual and the website didn't help either. By the way, adding a few more of the tips included in the documentation to this video would make even greater. It's easy to lose in the stacks of owners manuals that slowly collect overtime.
Unfortunately, because it hasn't really even been used one day,, I'm sending it back for a return. Unless I can be assured they will always stand by their product, down the road as well. I bought an extended care plan but I shouldn't have to use it a day later.
If it didn't fail, it would be close to perfection, at least against competitors products I've tried. I used to spend 30 minutes a day scrubbing tile floors (and more time scrubbing a sadistic product called 'grout') because they neither were sealed and they're a med-light grey, lighter grout). I have two dogs... and live on the ground floor with a lot of construction going on in the area.
In less than five minutes, all of the tiles and grout lines were surprisingly clean and quick to dry. This includes the kitchen, the entryway and the main bathroom. I really do hope my issue is citrus fruit. Hi Biss', please help. Only if Amazon gives me grief.
