Look being a 34 year old guy and a father to five daughters , and a brother four sisters having finished the video I’m actually embarrassed for the so called journalism on display during the press tour it was absolutely awful
I'm sure Jennifer's Body would've been more successful if it was made today in a post metoo world. Most of those journalists certainly wouldn't get away with questions like that today. It's sad Diablo Cody seems really emotionally affected by the backlash, she's a great writer in addition to this Juno, Lisa Frankenstein, Young Adult and Tully are wonderful films.
I have been telling people for years to watch Jennifer's body like they would the movie Heathers. Saying it's more a dark comedy instead of full scary movie that uses shock and humor to cover a more heavy subject matter. That has supposedly helped them enjoy it more. So I definitely think the marketing team screwed them
I have my issues with modern day Megan Fox, but I really do hate that her moment was spat on. She might not be the best actress, but I think she nailed this character and has great comedic timing. Glad the role has become iconic over time.
I think this film showed she has some range. Not the best acting but better than what we've seen in the past because of bad directing and directors not wanting to give her respectable character driven roles.
I think her best roles are the dark comedy roles. Like Jennifers Body and Till Death, where she allowed to be this sarcastic, witty, rude, loud, funny person
She spat on her own moment here, by refusing to show us the goods in full. By contrast, her co-star Seyfried hasn't hesitated to get naked, and her career hath thrived
You only touched on it slightly but the fact that Diablo Cody went from writing a feel good dramady like Juno to a horror movie like Jennifer's Body put a target on her back from most critics. So many of them wanted to punish her for "stepping out of bounds" with a horror comedy. They acted like, "You made Juno how dare you make a horror movie! Stay in this tiny box we put you in!" It was ugly. Even Roger Ebert's review said it wasn't scary or funny. Implying it served no purpose and shouldn't have existed in the first place. Also Ebert has always been overrated. I used to watch Siskel & Ebert religously so I know what I'm talking about haha I liked Siskel better for the most part. Although, they could both have sticks up their ass at any given moment during any given review. I saw it happen many times. The only good Jennifer's Body review I read was in Rue Morgue magazine. It wasn't even a perfect review. The writer (Sean Plummer, I think) gave it a fair, mostly positive review. He understood it way better than any other critic at the time. Literally the only good review I read. I always like the movie. I need to revisit it. And whoever said that Megan Fox could only get work in porn is literally whorephobic. Yeah, fuck that. I have sex worker friends who make porn and I'm tired of hearing sex work used as an insult etc. Boy was this comment a journey. I had a rough day. I need to rest. Good video Kylie. Keep being you.
You might be thinking of a different review or movie because I read Ebert's review of Jennifer's Body a few weeks ago and he absolutely praised the film and gave it 3 stars.. he even said "There is within Diablo Cody the soul of an artist, and her screenplay brings to this material a certain edge, a kind of gleeful relish, that's uncompromising. This isn't your assembly-line teen horror thriller."..
Great analysis! I watched Jennifer's Body for the first time when I was 15 and it quickly became a favorite! I would love to see a sequel or TV show 🏳️🌈
AT LAST!!! I could have sworn you have done this before. I think a slightly underrated aspect of the movie is a) the direction and visual presentation of Kusama, which edges over Juno or Ginger Snaps, and DEFINITELY almost all mid budget horror movies of the 2000s b) the writing behind Needy's character has a great mix of theatricality and breaking stereotype
Cool video Kylie! 🤙I enjoyed this movie when it came out & still have enjoyed it through out my rewatches since 2009. Hoping one day we'll get a sequel. Amanda & Megan were casted perfectly too. ❤️
I remember being kind of freaked out when this movie first came out. Granted I was young and was never really a fan of horror at the time. But with everything I had seen of this movie, it's really amazing. Though it's been a while since I've watched this so there's not too much I remember from it. But I absolutely loved this deep dive refreshing my memory of not only what this movie was about but also things I didn't know. So appreciate you doing a deep dive on this. Also love the outfit!
I watched this movie like 9 years ago and loved it! I watched it so many times and was very confused about the all the negativity I heard. Stoked it’s getting it’s very deserved love. Also, your channel and content is amazing. 🤙
“Taken back by the ladies” I hate when men speak 😂 I joined the horror community a little late in life because of this absolute facade that men owned the genre. Great deep dive! So perfect for Women’s History Month ❤
Love Jennifer's Body! Thanks for doing this vlog, was great seeing past interviews I may have missed or forgotten about since. Where was I when it came out, right there! Bought it as soon as it came out and watch it regularly ever since🖤 Also loved Lisa Frankenstein, cant wait to own the bluray!😊 Diable makes movies for people like us
The studios 100 percent sunk this film. I remember seeing the trailer for this and thinking it was just another teen horror flick. When I saw it I was absolutely blown away. The dialogue alone was so refreshing. I can only think of one other movie marketed worse than this and it's M Night Shayamalans The Village. This was a wonderful deep dive.
I was 12 and I remember seeing Jennifer's Body in theaters on opening night with my middle school girlfriend and we both really enjoyed the movie so much that I bought the Blu-Ray when it was released P.S: great review and epic Jennifer Check cosplay as well 👍👍
Yeah, Megan in the early 2000s was very much the 21st century’s equivalent to Betty Paige or Marilyn Monroe…and that sucks, especially since it seems to have left her with a lot of trauma.
Oh boy, did the marketing get it all wrong. They absolutely didn't get that this one's for the girlies. Ugh, we still have a long way to go tearing down the sexism in the horror fandom.
I was legitimately shocked when this movie did not get the hype or praise it deserved at the time. I have been a horror girly since birth and was so psyched to see this when it came out (I was 28 at the time). I loved "Juno" and was psyched that Diablo was doing a horror movie. I am also more of a Needy and have had many Jennifers in my life and thought it was such a good depiction of female friendship. So smart when Chip doesn't get why Needy and Jennifer hang out and Needy stands up for her and their friendship. Is Jennifer a good friend to Needy? No. Does Needy know this? Yes. Female relationships are complex and deep and wild. You have articulated this much better. I am just raging over here. It is like re-opening wounds to hear the dumba**ery that was the marketing, reviews, and interviews these amazing women had to go through.
30:44 To answer your question…quite a lot actually! Makes me wish you were working with Dead Meat…or maybe become a vocalist for INK, but that’s just me.
This film is damn good. I hate that the marketing was so bad, I remember getting the wrong impression at the time and skipped it. I don't think I got around to seeing til 2012/2013. It was so good I was literally getting frustrated that I hadn't seen it sooner.
I was 15 when Jennifer's Body came out in 2009 and at that time I enjoyed the movie but as I've gotten older this movie just gets more and more awesome and I definitely would not be a opposed to some kind of continuation that Diablo Cody has said she would be more than willing to do
@@HauntedHippie Also, there's not enough movies about succubi vampires usually steal the spotlight. It's nice to see succubi represented for a change lol.
The only mistake in any of the movie was using "Violet" for the credits instead of "Jennifer's Body". I know Violet is more popular and about telling the world to rip everything away. But the movie is Jennifer's Body for God's sake!!
This is probably the only comedic horror movie that I think would work better played straight… which I’m sure most would disagree with, and that’s cool 😅. Diablo’s Cody brand of irreverent humor just doesn’t suite my taste, and here I think it gets in the way. I feel like both Fox and Sefried do the dramatic stuff so well, and their are legitimately creepy moments throughout that makes me wish Kusama didn’t have to balance that with the levity. I think she could have delivered a stellar, all-out horror version of this story. Just my two cents, though! I still think this is a solid one, and it’s definitely a movie deserving of its cult because it is special in a lot of ways.
Yeah, Horror Comedies are just that: Comedies with Horror elements sprinkled in. Most people aren’t gonna have nightmares coming from Ghostbusters or Gremlins 2. Now, Gremlins 1 or Ghostbusters 2 on the other hand...yeah not gonna lie, those are WAY scarier than the first two.
Certified classic right here. This flick will always be a comfort watch of mine, they all did such a sicc job with this in my opinion. & I can't stand those people who only view someone as an object, only being overtly sexual towards them and disregarding their humanity, that's piss ant behavior lol. 💪🏾💪🏾
Very good deep dive There was a lot I didn't know about the background of the movie Haven't seen it for awhile but it's definitely a good movie with a great cast I think Megan is a better actress than she gets to show a lot of the time she definitely gets to shine in this film Anyway great video
Just watching this movie and got to thinking of you "Maggot Mommy " and I hope to be seeing you becoming one of those outstanding new director's / actresses that are making my new favorite films 🎬
A coming of age story about the anxiety of turning 40 would hit Millennials so hard... I want it. I want it now. I have loved this movie ever since I first saw it in 2009. Even back then, I knew that the movie was grossly mismarketed
Definitely watch the unrated cut, it's more of what the movie was supposed to be which is a horror comedy unlike the theatrical cut which is all about look how attractive Megan Fox is.
Great vid Ky! I actually watched this for the first time somewhat recently.. it has been on my radar since it came out, but never saw it.. but you always talked about it and since I recently watched Ginger Snaps I figured I'd check it out.. I see the parallels and although I personally prefer Ginger Snaps because I was the same age as the characters in that film at the time it was filmed, so it's more comforting and relatable, but I enjoyed Jennifer's Body and thought it was well written with really good dialogue and performances.. I was 25 when this was released and honestly wasn't interested bc of Megan Fox (no fault of her own).. every decade there's a few celebs that the media and society anoint as "female sex symbols".. like they brainwash girls into thinking that's how they should look and boys into thinking that's who they should want to f*ck and it's annoying imo.. men go through it too, obviously not to the same extent, but still just presented as a piece of meat for the masses.. I feel bad for Megan bc she always had the "just hot, no talent" stereotype going on.. I remember her being pushed hard back then.. I saw Transformers back then, that's it, so Jennifer's Body was like my first time watching Megan act and I thought she was really good.. I haven't read much about this film, but I think it's safe to say that this film was named after the Hole song with the same name.. I mean they played Violet in the ending credits which is from the same album, which was a perfect choice! I adore Courtney despite the baggage, her lyrics, songwriting and voice are top notch, the epitome of a rockstar imo.. Side note but relevant, but the girl-girl kissing reminded me of a story where Charlize said that the financial backers of Monster thought they were investing in a "hot & sexy lesbian love story staring Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci" and freaked out when they saw they both gained 20-30 lbs and "uglied themselves up".. shows how out of touch people in power are.. also to this day Ricci says the most disappointing moment of her career was the marketing of Black Snake Moan bc they just exploited her character to frat boys, which completely ruined how the film was supposed to be perceived, the film is still misunderstood to this day due to the trailer and posters.. it's a shame that people in power always automatically resort to "sex sells" on projects where the art should sell, but they always underestimate audiences.. I'm far from a prude lmao, but using sex to sell a product that sells itself is pointless and hurts the person being objectified.. I'ma chill with these long rants I promise haha, but you put time and effort into these vids so I figure I'll give a thoughtful response..
I appreciate a thoughtful response! You make great points, I'm thinking about your point about sexualization happening to men too. One of the most egregious recent examples is when Finn Wolfhard was like 14 and some older model told him to call her when he turned 18. Gross. For the most part though, I think men are usually also valued for their talents on top of that. Like Justin Bieber, back then men hated him because teenage girls loved him sure. But now I don't think anyone would deny he was kind of the king of pop for his generation. Same thing for like Harry Styles, Pedro Pascal (people are super weird about him but also love his acting), Justin TImberlake etc etc. Definitely a double standard there when women are just inherently seen as objects more often than men. Christina Ricci also had her boobs enhanced for a Sleepy Hollow poster! Didn't realize she was in Monster, I've been meaning to check that one out for a long time. I'll look into what you mentioned there
@@HauntedHippie Yeah I remember that Sleepy Hollow poster, another example of trying to use sex to sell something that already sells itself.. I think she got a breast reduction when she was 19-20, but she never talked about it, so it's like an urban legend, and I dont care either way.. I know she absolutely loathes the idea of anyone talking about her body, so I'm not going there bc it's a gross topic anyways.. she suffered from anorexia when she was 14 for a year but got help.. she's open about that and how she hated standing in front of casting directors and they'd just dissect her body in front of her when she was going through puberty, f'd up stuff.. Monster is incredible, but heads up there's a brutal SA scene in the first 30 minutes, but it's not gratuitous, glamourized or made to be "sexy", it's horrifying and effective.. Patty Jenkins, Charlize and Ricci went to trenches of Florida and did some pretty incredible stuff..
@@HauntedHippieand on your point of men being both sex symbols and respected for their talent I'd agree.. although for every Megan Fox you have an Elizabeth Taylor and Madonna who were sex symbols who were equally praised for their talents.. but yes I still get your point and it's still very valid.. I'm in no way saying it's the same for both men and women because it's clearly not..
I think that's because most directors don't direct her properly or give her a chance they see her nothing more than eye candy and don't give her many character driven roles. This movie proves she has some range and acting capability and real potential.
I love Jennifer's Body. I've seen it twice. It's cult classic. Recently watched Deathdream. Directed by Bob Clark. Of Black Christmas fame. It's pretty good. It's a campy horror flick. Worth watching. Kylie, keep up the awesome work...
her work is very standard, mostly fillers, probably botox. maybe a ponytail lift or fox eye lift. It definitely costs tens of thousands of dollars to look like her
Awesome deep dive! I loved this movie too. Megan Foxx deserves more roles like this. Also you make an awesome and sexy MF double. You're like a blend of Jenna Ortega and Megan Foxx lol. She's underrated and this movie showed she has range and the capability of acting. It just sucks the industry is the way it is and she's often type casted.. She deserves more chances even if it means for her to go indie if she needs to to get the recognition she deserves. If the industry won't give her that opportunity then I'm sure indie film industries would be willing to. Also, I think you forgot to mention Clive Barker when you were going through horror movie directors =P.
No offense to Jennifer but you’re totally the hotter sister/daughter of satan! You absolutely slay the Jennifer outfit! I’ve always liked Megan fox myself but it really sucks what she had to go through when this movie came out. I remember vividly when the movie came out and all the press surrounding her. I’m just glad that society as a whole has become more accepting of it. She honestly seems so cool in real life! I always liked to think of this movie as a vampire movie. Even though not all of the vampire tropes are used, the whole sexual predatory nature and her drinking blood I feel makes this a strong vampire movie with all her sexual undertones in her character. I mean with male vampires, I feel like a vampire would be more convincing being a woman who might seem dainty and unassuming only to bite your neck! Thank you again for serving up another classic deep dive!
GIVE US A SEQUEL!!! Great work, Kylie. I loved this! So cathartic hearing someone else voice my fustrations lol. I was rooting for you the entire time!!
I’ve always adored this movie it was a movie we saw on a date night after our second daughter was born I was 19 my partner was 17 , I think that’s one of the reasons I’m so fond it it. Anyway I watched it for the first time in years recently and I’m surprised at how well it actually held up over the years , I mean I always remember liking it , but sometimes how we feel about a movie can change over the passage of time , I actually think I liked it more watching it again recently , showed it to our oldest girls 18 and 15 years old ( we have five daughters ) they were quite taken with it , I think had this come out even 5 years later than it did it becomes a much more appreciated movie . I know there has been somewhat a renaissance with the movie in recent years not too dissimilar to the movie showgirls which I still haven’t actually seen yet. But I’m glad more and more people are starting to appreciate Jennifer’s body for what it is as opposed to slamming it for what it wasn’t.
Hey Kylie loved this deep dive. JB is deserving of all the praise it gets. It's sad that it took so long for it to get the recognition it deserved.. Have you heard of a CZcamsr called Alice Cappelle? She does video essays and a few that I think you would find interesting that's right up your ally especially the ones about feminism, how it's weaponized by the industry and capitalism.
Oh man, I’m trying to watch Jennifer body! 💦 Great cosplay for your special video! Omg hippie getting buff a bit, and I feel ya that fabric is tight asf! 😭 Little me got scared by Megan jaw face from one of the old thumbnails in CZcams, and little me wasn’t into Megan in transformers, so little me wanted to see Big robots fight each other, but at same age I obviously notice the same patterns when Bay always forcefully show off Megan at screen from both transformers and ninja turtles. It’s annoying when bay does that. I consider Amanda as a “demon slayer”, both samurai or wearing space armor for slaying demons, and I thought Megan does look same to me since “bay ninja turtle”?! Things change. Jezz, all of this old white dudes acting weird and dumb, and the way they said that is pretty ugly. ☠️☠️☠️☠️ Best scene ever was real life voice actor Patrick Star in uncut version! ⭐️ I’m happy for Megan for being creator of “Yellowjacket”. 👏 Amazing video for putting a perfect spot for woman month, and I really appreciate how every gender, race, and disability needs to be appreciate for their creative talents than just white dudes.
While not a perfect movie (I feel like the opening prison scene should of been held til the end, it spoils too much), it does have some creative sequences, a good cast, probably Megan Fox's best performance, and as someone who was in high school at the time, this does give me some nostalgic feelings
@@HauntedHippie Actually wait, wasn’t Amanda’s character also turned into a Succubi at the end? 🤔, a woman in her 40s struggling to live a normal life all while dealing with a disease she received from her…best…friend. GREENLIGHT THIS SEQUEL NOW!
@@HauntedHippie What a Raging Hippie do, exactly? Is it raging in the context of you being really chill but also socially conscious or is it in the context of a fusion between hippie and metal head? And now, I’m picturing a bunch of hippies in a mosh pit…interesting.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t Succubi just drain their lifeforce? The one thing I always thought weird about this flick was that Jennifer…ate the men. Like, when I first saw the trailer at a young age, I thought she was a Wendigo or something.
Well I can’t think of a better person to do a deep dive and retire of this movie. You listed all the women involved in this movie and you’re the perfect person to talk about it. It been awhile since I saw this movie. I do remember the comic side of it. I don’t remember if I saw trailers of the movie before I saw it. But like at a guys point of view. A) the title of the movie is Jennifers Body. B) the lead is Megan Fox. 🧐 She’s Beautiful but don’t get me wrong. Seeing her I other movies Transformers and T.M.N.T she can act. Plus having daughters I’m not put off with strong female characters. In fact I enjoy them. And let’s not forget brains. I have collage grads too. I now that this film as caught on as a cult class now. My hope is a critique label will put out a 4K box set with extras in it. I saw your makeup in another video and you asked about wearing it on the date with your boyfriend. I make I think a dumb comment about what if his ear was cut off. I meant to say have some blood 🩸 dripping off his ear. Kind of a nibble nibble if you get my meaning. It’s just nice that you do that extra for us on your channel. Dress up and makeup. But please not too scary. I’m usually snacking during your videos. 😜 thanks for all you do. Part two of your movie being made coming up. Good Luck. 👍
26:26 where were we? I, for example, in 2009 were ona couch in Wroclaw, Poland, watching a pirate dvd rip of the movie :D I couldn't do much for Diablo, and fair US reception of Jeniffer's Body, I am sorry :))) I championed this movie right from the start though, and always have recommended it to my friends. Such a good movie!
@@HauntedHippie hahaha really? May I ask why you got such impression? What kind of situations made you feel like it? :) Wroclaw is rather an open minded city. On the other hand Polish people indeed seem to be unfriendly in all sorts of short interactions with small talk, ETC. When I lived for a year in Vancouver it was the first thing I noticed, how open and positive people are in such random chit chat situations. It was very similar when I did a small trip to States. Polish people still have some work to do in this depratment :D
@@oskar_oskarewicz oh man my dumbass was getting lost trying to figure out how to get to a bus station one time in Warsaw and all the people I asked for help were not good in English and seemed super annoyed 😭
Z deep dive i was waiting for, fuck yeahhhhh🔥 i really really like Jennefers body sue me!! But i can't lie Lisa Frankenstein was not as nearly good as JB, it was boring
Unfortunately I didn't get too see it in theaters but I rented it and I know what your probably thinking of course you did you're a man and yes you're right but I'm a gay man this movie is iconic af and Megan is a queeeeen, when I 1st seen this movie and saw them makeout after not watching the trailer btw all I could think was yassssss queeeeens 💅 they will forever be bisexual icons
Personally, I think that Jennifer Check is a great anti-hero. I don't really see her as a straight up card-carrying villain like, say, Glenda Ray from Seed of Chucky. She's just a strong, independent woman who embraces her sexuality with pride. Admittedly, the sexual aspects do make me uncomfortable, but that's due to my own asexuality. Putting that aside, the sexual aspects actually served a purpose, and it was done tastefully, too. I'm glad that this movie was gutsy enough to portray Jennifer that way. She's powerful and she's not afraid to show it. And it gave Megan Fox more opportunity to show off her acting chops, which is just a bonus. By the way, might be a strange suggestion, but have you considered doing a deep dive on the character of Sienna Shaw from Terrifier 2? She's my favorite final girl, and I think it'd be a fun project to do before Women's History Month ends.
with all due respect to Megan Fox , her fans and this movie , i never liked her or Jennifer's body bad enough it's in the same universe with Lisa frankenstein and the marketing was terrible , and nooo Jennifer's body is not in the same league as ginger snaps lol she's in a whole level just my opinion , great video Horror Queen💯⚰️🦇🍷🫀
Ok… 1st) This is my new favorite deep dive! I love Jennifer's Body in spite of the bad marketing… I got it! It was brilliant! 2nd) James Berardelli is a critic who goes to the same advanced Screenings that I go to. He’s from Jersey and I’m from Philly. So I see him a most of the Screenings… it as hilarious when I saw you shade his dumbass review. I typically don't like critic reviews so I have never seen his. He's nice but kinda shy. I'm not either of those bland descriptive words so…lol Still Hilarious! I screenshot to show him. He's probably gonna be at ghostbusters tomorrow. Yeah, Megan in the early 2000s was very much the 21st century’s equivalent to Betty Paige or Marilyn Monroe…and that sucks, especially since it seems to have left her with a lot of trauma.
yessssss you do not miss!
Oh boy, did the marketing get it all wrong. They absolutely didn't get that this one's for the girlies. Ugh, we still have a long way to go tearing down the sexism in the horror fandom.
Seeing as most of the Academy is likely made up of out of touch old dudes, I'm not surprised.
Loved this movie when it came out and still love it today!
It's been nice to see it become a cult classic and less underrated over the years.
Great costume and video 😊
The only reason why I can’t let this rage go yet is because where tf is the tv series or sequel???
Diablos writing really holds up. This movie is just so iconic, thank you for this deep dive, Kylie!
Kylie you should check out All Cheerleaders Die which is really similar to Jennifers Body
I watch this movie once every 2 months it’s my fav
Hell yes!! ❤! Jennifer’s Body and Ginger Snaps have always had a place in my horror heart, always will ✌️!
Jennifer's Body is far from what a masterpiece is, but still a good movie.
I was 15 when Jennifer's Body came out in 2009 and at that time I enjoyed the movie but as I've gotten older this movie just gets more and more awesome and I definitely would not be a opposed to some kind of continuation that Diablo Cody has said she would be more than willing to do
I love it more with every watch too!
@@HauntedHippie i know right , cult classic for a great reason !
Dope. 92 Buffy the Vampire Slayer next.
i hate that there could never ever be a gender flipped version of a movie like this
we don't need that. most vampire movies are about men anyways like ?
@@HauntedHippie there are no vampire movies where the male leads make out with each other and kill only women
@@arobin6695that would be shut down so fast it’s crazy
This is probably the only comedic horror movie that I think would work better played straight… which I’m sure most would disagree with, and that’s cool 😅. Diablo’s Cody brand of irreverent humor just doesn’t suite my taste, and here I think it gets in the way. I feel like both Fox and Sefried do the dramatic stuff so well, and their are legitimately creepy moments throughout that makes me wish Kusama didn’t have to balance that with the levity. I think she could have delivered a stellar, all-out horror version of this story. Just my two cents, though! I still think this is a solid one, and it’s definitely a movie deserving of its cult because it is special in a lot of ways.
that's true, maybe when it inevitably gets remade that would be the tone!
Ghostbusters 2 gave me nightmares as a kid!
@@anthonywheeler2082 That makes sense, that one is WAY scarier than the first one!
Certified classic right here. This flick will always be a comfort watch of mine, they all did such a sicc job with this in my opinion. & I can't stand those people who only view someone as an object, only being overtly sexual towards them and disregarding their humanity, that's piss ant behavior lol. 💪🏾💪🏾
Piss ant 😭😭🤌🏼
I'm struggling to finish this video. Not gonna lie. The anger that is building up...
it's valid
Very good deep dive
There was a lot I didn't know about the background of the movie
Haven't seen it for awhile but it's definitely a good movie with a great cast I think Megan is a better actress than she gets to show a lot of the time she definitely gets to shine in this film
Anyway great video
Just watching this movie and got to thinking of you "Maggot Mommy " and I hope to be seeing you becoming one of those outstanding new director's / actresses that are making my new favorite films 🎬
A coming of age story about the anxiety of turning 40 would hit Millennials so hard... I want it. I want it now.
I have loved this movie ever since I first saw it in 2009. Even back then, I knew that the movie was grossly mismarketed
!!!!!!
👏🏼
30:12 I genuinely hope YT doesn’t shadow ban you just for saying that.
I honestly fucking love Chip, he looks so so much like my bf
even tho i dont like megan fox, i gotta say she slayed in this one
I think that's because most directors don't direct her properly or give her a chance they see her nothing more than eye candy and don't give her many character driven roles. This movie proves she has some range and acting capability and real potential.
The only real memorable thing or that anyone remembers about this film is megan fox and Amanda seyfried making out.
internalized misogyny is really ugly on u!
TWO THINGS I AIN’T EVER SEEN🗣️‼️
Jennifer body's movie one my favorite in Kylie great deep dive Jennifer body's.
You remind me of an early Evanescence Amy Lee, albeit a tad more intimidating with the blood but still equally entertaining.
I love Jennifer's Body. I've seen it twice. It's cult classic.
Recently watched Deathdream. Directed by Bob Clark. Of Black Christmas fame. It's pretty good. It's a campy horror flick. Worth watching.
Kylie, keep up the awesome work...
What tha f happened to Megan Fox's face? 😮
her work is very standard, mostly fillers, probably botox. maybe a ponytail lift or fox eye lift. It definitely costs tens of thousands of dollars to look like her
“I am having the best day since like Jesus invented the calendar!”
gold
@@HauntedHippie Jesus didn’t invent the calendar!
Also, I think you forgot to mention Clive Barker when you were going through horror movie directors =P.
men should have to count backwards from 100 in order to enter a test screening lmfao
Fr, someone commented that they’re sad a male version of this couldn’t exist and I’m like ?? You have vampire movies sit down
GIVE US A SEQUEL!!! Great work, Kylie. I loved this! So cathartic hearing someone else voice my fustrations lol. I was rooting for you the entire time!!
Your thoughts on ‘The Strangers’?
I thoroughly enjoyed your deep dive! 😊 JB is one of my all time favorite and rewatched films 🖤
Aw I love that 🖤🤌🏼
I always thought you looked like a movie star and now it makes sense it was megan fox lol
Ahahahaha nahhhhhh
I definitely see it but cool video always loved Jennifers body got me more into horror back then. @@HauntedHippie
Apparently I like watching horror videos because this was suggested. I clicked, was not disappointed.
Welcome!
Oh man, I’m trying to watch Jennifer body! 💦
Great cosplay for your special video! Omg hippie getting buff a bit, and I feel ya that fabric is tight asf! 😭
Little me got scared by Megan jaw face from one of the old thumbnails in CZcams, and little me wasn’t into Megan in transformers, so little me wanted to see Big robots fight each other, but at same age I obviously notice the same patterns when Bay always forcefully show off Megan at screen from both transformers and ninja turtles.
Best scene ever was real life voice actor Patrick Star in uncut version! ⭐️
I’m happy for Megan for being creator of “Yellowjacket”. 👏
Amazing video for putting a perfect spot for woman month, and I really appreciate how every gender, race, and disability needs to be appreciate for their creative talents than just white dudes.
!!! Appreciate you engaging with all the material
@@HauntedHippie Yes, Yes I am.
“Yes head shaking of bugs bunny”
While not a perfect movie (I feel like the opening prison scene should of been held til the end, it spoils too much), it does have some creative sequences, a good cast, probably Megan Fox's best performance, and as someone who was in high school at the time, this does give me some nostalgic feelings
agree, I hate when the ending of the movie is at the beginning lol
Same here, it really cuts any tension @@HauntedHippie
I saw it 12 times in the theater, im an Amanda fan ,check out her movie Chloe it's not a horror flick but you'd like it

I love this movie so much.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t Succubi just drain their lifeforce? The one thing I always thought weird about this flick was that Jennifer…ate the men. Like, when I first saw the trailer at a young age, I thought she was a Wendigo or something.
she also absorbs their life force idk potato potato

Good Luck. 👍
I’d love a 4k set or steel book wowww

I championed this movie right from the start though, and always have recommended it to my friends.

I’ve actually been to Wroclaw a few times, people don’t seem to like Americans there and I truly can’t blame them but I had fun there
@@HauntedHippie hahaha really?
May I ask why you got such impression?
What kind of situations made you feel like it? :)
Wroclaw is rather an open minded city.

Yeszsss
Won’t have time this year unfortunately but eventually when I start deep diving characters she can be on the list
Great video of this cult classic

You are a better critic than him because you still like movies…lol
