nah you right, it hits different. it's so satisfying because he does everything so cleanly and very methodically. I change a bulb on my bike and some how missing pieces, oil all over my arms and the bike fails to start afterwards.

great video i just want to give a heads up about the dash fast start think well most motorcycle if they were on the move then you turn the ignition key the speedometer try to adapt with the wheel as quickly as posobl thats why it looks it starts fast

Have a 16 R1 and had the top speed limiter removed. The speedo read about 5% higher than GPS. The speedo hits 299kph then stays at 299 but the bike keeps pulling. Top speed with standard gearing is 304kph. Doesn't hit rev limiter but just runs out of power at high rpm.
Yep, i highly doubt they'd allow it to be the all singing and dancing R1 because of the emissions regulations because I've seen many an R1 going over the 200+mph mark on Turkish roads and suchlike. Very frustrating these emissions regulations, it's not like we're going to go that speed all the time, is it? It's crazy 🙄
Rsv4 can hit 204 no 🧢

Are you scared of it, I ask because I come from riding a Harley and recently picked up a 2020 z900 as a second bike and I'm a bit nervous putting it in sport mode lol
You can tell when a tune is just "there", and this is it. You can always make more power, but at a certain point it's got a good roll on feel and everything else after that is just optional. Whoever did this tune got the timing right on the top end and it's still got the crossplane sound there too, I really like it.

The fast dash start up was because you’re moving 3mph it’s a safety feature I’m guessing

You can clear the CEL with your flasher. It likely got a communication error from the flash itself. Mine did when I flashed, I cleared it, it’s never come back.
I have a real love/hate relationship with these R1 videos. Love because this bike looks and sounds amazing, but hate because I don't have one of my own yet :') 💔

I think the throttle limiter is there to protect the engine... But if they've improved the cooling then it might be okay.
But my concern is even if the engine itself can handle 500 horsepower but the components inside might not be made for those kinds of stresses... Gaskets for example could be a problem
The engines are over engineered and will easily respond to a little tuning. In fact a flash is the lowest form of tune, putting the least amount of stress on components! It's when you start adding bolt on's (superchargers, turbo's etc), that you need to start doing sensible upgrades to consumables and stressed parts. :)

Had my 2021 done yesterday
I have a stock 2020 R1M ( Canadian) and strangely I’ve noted different indicated top speeds if I change dash from KPH to MPH. In KPH it hits 299 and stays there ( no surprise) however when using MPH I was able to hit 190 (305 KPH). Has anyone else experienced this?
I’ll soon be doing the same mods so I’ll be interested to see what happens then.
Do you know if this works for the 21 model? I’m thinking of upgrading bikes while used ones are fetching premium trade value

I had a 2017 r1 ecu flash by toce and full system from them and supposedly made 205 hp. Live in a small town was never able to dyno it though. Also, not sure if that was to the wheel or crank(prob to the crank).

Hey guys I have a quick question I have a 2021 Yamaha R1 with a 3/4 sc project exhaust currently installed with stock map/ecu. I was wondering do I keep the o2 sensor on the bike while I do the flash? Or when do I get rid of them, or if I have to get rid of them at all. Thanks.

The connector to the handheld unit looks so 1990s / early 2000s. You'd think they would use a standard USB connector by now.
That's exactly what i thought too, it's an old printer serial connector by the looks of it, very weird, but i guess that it's saving on an interactive interface, inputting the right combinations of code into the ecu

Yo nosity so I also have a 2020s1000rr that I did the brentune on I just bought a 2021 r1 a few days ago can I use the handheld that I got when I did my flash on my s1k and just buy the license (flash and tune ) from brentune or do you have to buy the whole kit. Also do you know if they offer a e85 tune like the s1k cus my s1k with e85 str8 smashn out. Anyway thanks for the vid I love the r1 it's my favorite bike the sound and low end torque you can pop it up and wheelie thru the gears so ez and smooth

r3 is an awesome bike it was my first bike be sure to get some sort of exhaust on it it makes the experience much more enjoyable

Get ninja 400. R3 is way down on power and the ninja 400 is a only a pinch more.

Yo, does your bike struggle to start after being warm? Got brentuning same graves exhaust, sprint filter and once warmed up the bike takes 3-4 turns to start..

I have a 2020 yamaha r1 and the obd plug i have is different from what you have ....I'm trying to flash my ecu but not going through and I pick the middle file to get the file from my bike
