Not really.. working in any big company/firm depends upon various things, profile, boss, team, client/service agents etc. there are millions of people who spend decades in big 4s and even big MNCs. If you are supported at the right time and through right means, you would like to work for years in that organisation.

First 3 & Big 4 are now disrupted by their own old age models and clients became smart enough to get great potential candidates directly recruited and drive the challenges within their orgs (or) go with a time & material model of consulting services. To give some credit Big 4 ( esp Deloitte & PWC) are able to start breaking the old models than the First 3 in a way by positioning themselves as technology focused.
Being said the above generic statements , there are few niche areas where some of these companies are experts in and that wont go away easily to others.

My starting salary in MNC was 20k. No proper work exposure.I switched to startups. Learnt a lot. That helped me find a job later ehich can pay upto more than 3lakhs per month from India.
If you think you will first prepare for a job for 6 months etc, then you are a fool. Because experience is gained by interacting with people in the organization and working on the particular field. Studying has nothing to do with that unless you implement it.

I feel like there's a lotta personal agenda behind this episode. Consultancy is a good place to get CV points cause these massive companies have a great reputation and it primarily runs on prestige. The glamour, the paid trips etc certainly can be a fun experience. But the work gets REALLY boring and dry if your project kinda sucks. A consulting gig imo is only as good as your project. I personally felt like I had surface knowledge about industries and could never go really deep into a project cause i just hated the department i was in. I believe consulting is only good for a few years at max but you should aim to specialise soon or start something of your own
I worked at EY and I'm glad I joined a smaller firm after cause it's in an industry i care about

Hire IIM and IIT on higher packages and hire others on low packages.
Hire people from tier 2and tier 3colleges candidates on contingencies roles and after project is complete remove them.
Hire candidate for 6m contract and ask them to put there everything they have got.
