At the end our home nurse is doing Heparin first then Saline. Is that okay?

Do you have data to show that you have no increase in infection rates by not wearing gloves?

Don't you have to prime the line of the eclipse ball first by unclamping the eclipse ball line, then clamp, then screw on to IV line?

Not unless the person connecting the ball does it incorrectly. It's just as safe as a traditional IV bag, but about a hundred times more convenient. My mom needed these for a few months after major surgery and a post-op infection. These are easy to use as long as everyone is careful to follow the instructions.

@@incendiadesigns782 What happens if NaCl solution is dripped with infusion needles into the male testicles?

@@monsignorjames I'm not a medical professional, but I know that normal saline burns when it goes into muscle instead of a vein. I would assume that it would be painful in the scenario you're discussing. Not sure why you felt the need to ask me about it, though. I'd recommend future medical questions would be something you should ask your doctor.

If it comes prepared by a pharmacist thru an infusion company to your home, then the pump is already primed and ready to hook up. Meaning, no air present in the IV line.
