Maybe it's changed, but I've been taught that you slow IV infusion for Red Man Syndrome...
Current recommendations are to stop the infusion immediately and notify the HCP if signs of red man syndrome (RMS), also known as vancomycin flushing syndrome (VFS), develop. I hope this clears up this information!
