@@terri5757 100% with you on that. I can see he’s not coping, The hospice can send District Nurses with Pain Meds & Anti Anxiety drugs. It really has choked me to see him like this as usually he’s as active as anyone without Cancer & he’s so determined to do things & finish jobs off that he needs maybe a Pain Team Consultant to visit you with the nurses. My wife has latter stage Multiple Sclerosis & she’s been given 50 micrograms of Fentanyl Patches which last 72 hours and the difference it made over 1 night was phenomenal. She’s been on them 1 year now & she’s entering end of life care it’s predicted in 6 to 9 months. I forgot to even mention it to Luke. All the best. Jamie 👍🏻
@@Team_Furymy dad was on fentanyl patches, ora morph and the opiates gave him really bad anxiety amd they prescribed him a well known anti-anxiety med. We also figured out when he would need the nurse so would call well in advance because we waited until he was restless one night and It took her 2 hours to get from 1 side of a small town to the other. Us Brits are not good at advocating for ourselves but no body with a life limited disease should be in pain in this day and age and I'm surprised his nurses aren't being more proactive. I'm so sorry to hear about your wife, my aunt had MS and its a cruel disease. I wish you and your wife all the best in this difficult time ❤

Ask hospice. I worked in a childrens hospice. People think hospice is just dying. It’s not. They help you to live. They make sure you are not in pain. Honest they are amazing places.

Hey Luke,ur strength and even humour never fails to astound me under these bloody awful circumstances..U do sound short of breathe and the cough won't be helping..contact hospice, oxygen,although a bit restrictive, will help u feel more comfortable and probably help you sleep a little better,they will help manage pain and help with age appropriate conversations with your children to help them understand your situation better and address pther fears and issues you will certainly have at the moment. Ur doing amazing under the most awful of circumstances but we're all here with you and giving you strength to not be defeated but take the help offered because it will help you maybe stay here a bit, or a lot longer ,more comfortable and able to enjoy family time.❤

He retired two weeks ago and last week he found out he has it on his actual Birthday. What a fucking horrible, evil disease. I'm sorry to hear that your brother has oesophageal cancer. My husband was diagnosed with the same in January & he was able to have surgery to remove it 3 weeks ago. It's a cruel disease, regardless of what tissue type & where it is in the body. My husband was told only 33% of people with this cancer are able to have surgery, the remaining aren't so lucky. I hope your brother is able to have surgery & I wish him well x
@@leahroberts3091 Awww thank you sweetheart. We were told last week that he would have chemo, then surgery, then a bit more chemo. He had a PET Scan yesterday and has to go probably next week to be sedated and have another endoscopy and a laparoscopy at the same time. We feel bad for him as he has never married or had kids so lives alone. Luckily I live around the corner from him, my daughter lives 4 doors away from him and my sister lives up the same street! I really hope and pray your husband is going to be ok and they both recover from this shitty, cruel disease. Much love 💕 x
Your channel popped up this morning and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about your poor babies. I lost my 11 year old daughter, after she was hit by a speeding car. This happened October 2020 and the grief is still crippling 😢. Someone set up a gofundme for us and I can’t tell you how much that helped us, with being able to take time out of work and be able to pay our bills. Hey Luke,ur strength and even humour never fails to astound me under these bloody awful circumstances..U do sound short of breathe and the cough won't be helping..contact hospice, oxygen,although a bit restrictive, will help u feel more comfortable and probably help you sleep a little better,they will help manage pain and help with age appropriate conversations with your children to help them understand your situation better and address pther fears and issues you will certainly have at the moment. Ur doing amazing under the most awful of circumstances but we're all here with you and giving you strength to not be defeated but take the help offered because it will help you maybe stay here a bit, or a lot longer ,more comfortable and able to enjoy family time.❤
Luke , you shouldn’t be suffering this kind of pain . You need some kind of hospice care. You don’t have your beg for very strong meds. Hope you can find a way not to suffer like this . 🐨💗

Ohhhhh Luke, this is absolutely heartbreaking to see and hear. My own brother has just been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. He retired two weeks ago and last week he found out he has it on his actual Birthday. What a fucking horrible, evil disease. I'm sorry to hear that your brother has oesophageal cancer. My husband was diagnosed with the same in January & he was able to have surgery to remove it 3 weeks ago. It's a cruel disease, regardless of what tissue type & where it is in the body. My husband was told only 33% of people with this cancer are able to have surgery, the remaining aren't so lucky. I hope your brother is able to have surgery & I wish him well x
@@leahroberts3091 Awww thank you sweetheart. We were told last week that he would have chemo, then surgery, then a bit more chemo. He had a PET Scan yesterday and has to go probably next week to be sedated and have another endoscopy and a laparoscopy at the same time. We feel bad for him as he has never married or had kids so lives alone. Luckily I live around the corner from him, my daughter lives 4 doors away from him and my sister lives up the same street! I really hope and pray your husband is going to be ok and they both recover from this shitty, cruel disease. Much love 💕 x

As others have said, please contact Hospice who will give you pain management etc. it’s not giving in, its support. They will support your wish to stay with your family. Macmillan Nurse also.
