And looking at her phone taking her eyes off him.
Because she thought she could 'mom' him out of this
So true. He was at the end of his life (going to jail when caught) and at that stage he thought he had nothing to lose. Don’t block desperate people in your house ppl.
In the police interview she says "i was trying to make him leave" but the video shows him trying to leave out the back door and she says " no your not leaving buddy your staying right here"........ WTF

@@KaiLucasZachary the daughter pulled the trigger? what?
I saw that too but it was not mentioned in the video, why would the girls need to lie, maybe fear of getting charged for not letting a break-in suspect leave? To me that is just insane in that moment they were still trying to find the killer so lies only make it harder to get the full story. I get why suspects lie but victims well usually dont have to.

The mom talked to the intruder like she was his own mom, very disappointed in him and ready to ground him.
Basically. She could tell he was young, the instincts kind of take over. It's sad af
I think she knew him - maybe not well, but was at least recently introduced to him - as in, at some point in time before the incident. I think this familiarity was part of a ruse, as a means of making the mom unaware of the true nature of the situation. Like, I honestly think she believed that she was playing a part in what she thought was a skit that maybe one of her kids said was for a school project or something. It's entirely possible that the gun wasn't even loaded during the sequences that the daughter was filming and that it was only loaded after the camera was no longer filming, probably with the 3 bullets that the kid had in his pocket. Conveniently, the part where the "skit" turned real was probably when the daughter "fled" from the house, leaving her mom to die (as was the plan), during which time she cranked up the fake tears and fear, so as to make the neighbor believe that this actually was a real home invasion all along. This, along with the filming of the skit itself, may have all been done in the service of making it look like a home invasion gone wrong, that all of it was on tape, and therefore the daughter could reasonably claim that she wasn't involved. When the plan fell apart, Joshua may have never the less taken the fall for Alexa, perhaps thinking as her loyal "boyfriend", he was obligated to protect her - a deluded and naive belief that one might expect from the mind of a 14 year old who has no real mature understanding of relationships. I won't be surprised if he eventually turns on her though, once she probably inevitably starts dating someone else while he continues to rot in prison.

Feminism is about women’s rights and the fact that we should have the same rights as men. We should have the same bodily autonomy as men. Literally no one is saying that women are just as physically strong as men. Can they be? Absolutely. There are some women who are incredibly strong. The body language of Joshua's mom is that of someone who is never loving or caring until they're in front of someone with authority. Something is SO off about this entire case.
He was brutally abused by his moms boyfriend, he was trying to escape that night after being tied up. She's not right in the head.
@@Anonymous_-nl4er now that makes more sense.
I know exactly what you're talking about and yeah this case is strange.
I said the same thing basically. Reminded me of my mother who only expressed concern or love for me when I was in legal trouble from age 13-15. I got into alot of trouble too. Broke into houses (when nobody was home). Stole my moms car and was doing all sorts of dangerous stuff at that age. While mom worked all the time and I had a very verbally abusive step father brainwashing me to think I was scum of the earth and id never be anything but a criminal my entire life. Messed me up real bad during my teenage years. Eventually went to a program for a year and realized I was not scum of the earth and my mom had her own issues making her very emotionally detached ect. (Well that second part about my mom took many more years to realize actually). She never expressed any love while I was being emotionally tortured everyday. It was always my fault because I was a "wild child" when I was young. (Wich is a lie, that was just an excuse to be abusive and I was the scape goat for everyones anger issues) now in my 30s i have severe anxiety with panic attacks around any kind of authority figures. Was disabled for years not able to funtion in a work place with bosses due to panic attacks. Had agoraphobia many times because of being so isolated as a child (always grounded to my room, the second my groundation ended and I was aloud to go outside or even in the living room to watch tv I would get grounded for another 2 weeks for absolutely no reason I can remember wich I think resulted in me having panic attacks as adult just leaving my own room. I get better for a while then something happens and I'm right back to zero. I am doing better now with more experience as life goes on. I forgot to mention that all of this anxiety and panic attacks have very negatively affected my health as well. Causing alot of inflammation in my body/organs and wich is diagnosed as an auto immune disorder by the time I was 19. But I know from many years of having it and doctors that stress (in my case anxiety and panic attacks) makes the inflammation flare up. So thats also what disabled me for some time. Anyway sorry to go on about myself. I meant to only say this mother reminded me of my own and I think this kid is struggling because of it and possibly severe emotional abuse/brainwashing and maybe physical abuse too.
Ok Freud
How convenient they stopped filming when mom was murdered. Come on this is shady af.
Why is the daughter so calm when she finds out her MOM IS DEAD ??
"Get out!" as she blocks the door with a gun lmao.
This would be so sad for the family of the mom to see…. But I understand why…
that daughter was saying get out, the mother was saying no
My same exact thoughts like huuuh let him get tf out zzzz some people are honestly impossible to understand
He said fine I'll go out the back and the daughter stopped him.hmmm suspicious she didn't seem too scared of him
"Get out" "Ok, let me leave" "NO!" "I'll go out the back door then" "NO YOU WON"T! GET OUT!" It was so confusing, they sent so many mixed messages. "I kept telling him to leave" then had this whole conversation and discussion, and took out cell phones.
Wait. What? Did the intruder seriously say he had a right to conceal his identity? What?!?

A gun means the end of the conversation, not the beginning. The mom blocking the door, using her firearm like a pointing finger, with her hand on her hip, while scolding the intruder like a whole Karen… This is the weirdest home invasion ever.

12 years for putting a bullet between a human beings eyes. This justice system is ass backwards. Wow
It is what it is, why did she try to keep him in the house? Very foolish of her
It's probably because the victim didn't let him leave when he wanted to and it wasn't a planned murder + he didn't bring the gun + he's a juvenile

A lot of the laws are ass backwards not just the justice system either. I looked into it more, Joshua was apparently a meth baby who was physically/sexually abused, tortured by men in his life, chained up for trying to run away, and never attended any form of schooling until he was sent to the juvenile facility for this murder. Once I read all of that, it became pretty clear why the mom didn't want him talking to police. He was apparently trying to get a ride to the airport to catch a flight to his grandparent's house and live there.
The daughter told police that they just wanted the guy to leave. 🤨

Pulling out the gun and obstructing the door only escalated the situation. Prior to that, it seems like it was basically just an unwanted "houseguest" arguing with the residents while carrying a hockey stick. I get that you as the homeowner don't want him to get away scot-free but if he's trying to leave, let him leave, get as much distance between you/your family and the intruder as possible and if he's willing to do so voluntarily, good. He also decided to give the daughters his autobiography by telling them a bunch of personal details about himself, they'll eventually find him anyway even if he does escape and they had video footage/audio of his voice.
